Chapter 9 - What About Naruto and Sasuke?

Uzushiogakure and Konoha were allies, and when Uzushiogakure was attacked, Konoha did indeed send experts to help.

Kagami, Danzo , and almost the entire Root—such a lineup was enough to fight a small war.

To annihilate a small country, apart from an anomaly like the Land of Rain, they would face no pressure.

The help Konoha provided to Uzushiogakure could not be called small, and even Mito had nothing to say.

What's more, the existence of Uzushiogakure and the Land of Whirlpools itself was not welcomed by other countries.

If the Uzumaki clan was both the village leader and the Daimyo, how would the Daimyos of other countries view it?

If you Ninja are all going to become Daimyos, then what about us Daimyos?

Do you really think you have the bloodline of the Sage of Six Paths?

Even without the Sealing Jutsu matter, the Land of Whirlpools would sooner or later be targeted by other countries.

Leaving aside other things, the Land of Fire's Daimyo might not even welcome Uzushiogakure.

It can be said that the destruction of Uzushiogakure was laid at its very foundation when it was established.

Konoha also didn't expect that by the time they arrived at Uzushiogakure, it had already collapsed, and the strength of those Ninja of unknown origin was beyond imagination.

Even Kagami and more than half of Root were lost there, so being able to bring Kushina back was already incredibly difficult.

It could also be considered fulfilling their duty as allies.

It was unknown if Mito planned to let Kushina become a Jinchuriki.

If she became a Jinchuriki, she would receive Konoha's best protection, not needing to go out on missions like other Ninja, which would also be a form of protection for Kushina, and in the future, it would allow the Uzumaki clan to leave a legacy in Konoha.

However, Hiruzen was worried that Kushina would grow to an uncontrollable extent in the future and had no intention of letting Kushina become a Jinchuriki.

After finishing the meal, Mikoto packed up the lunchboxes and left, but after this one meal, Mikoto and Kushina had already become good friends.

Humans don't require long periods to get along. Sometimes, if you click, you become friends in an instant.

For Kushina, Mikoto was clearly a good friend.

The afternoon classes ended quickly.

Neither Kazuki nor Mikoto stayed at the school to train. Unlike ordinary civilians, those from ninja clans like them would more often choose to return to their clan for training.

The training environment there was much better than at school.

Some clansmen would even provide guidance to them, which was one of the reasons why Ninjas from Ninja clans were often stronger than civilian Ninjas.

"Kazuki, Mikoto, we'll see each other tomorrow."

The three arrived at the school gate, and Kushina bid them farewell.

Kushina lived in the Senju clan's ancestral home. If she could, Kushina wished her way home could be a little longer.

"See you tomorrow, Kushina-san."

"See you tomorrow, Kushina! I'll bring you lunch!"

"You're too kind, Mikoto!"

"It's nothing, just cooking a bit more, it won't increase my workload." Mikoto smiled with narrowed eyes.

After Kushina left, she spoke to Kazuki in a quiet tone, "Kushina-san is very cute, don't you think? Kazuki."

The word "Kazuki" at the end made Kazuki shiver involuntarily.

However, he still changed the subject, "Didn't you two get along very well before?"

He recounted what had happened in class, "I didn't expect her to pay so much attention to me because of that."

Mikoto frowned. "Are you sure she's approaching you because you helped her, Kushina?"

"That's highly probable. It's not like she fell in love with me at first sight, right?" Kazuki fell silent after saying this.

He thought of a possibility. His father had just sacrificed himself on a mission, and Kushina had been brought to Konoha these past few days. The news of Uzushiogakure's destruction was no longer a secret.

These days, some villagers were even clamoring to find those who had destroyed Uzushiogakure and avenge the Uzumaki clan.

It's just that the higher-ups didn't seem to want to start a war because of this.

The destruction of Uzushiogakure was probably participated in by all the major villages except Konoha. Once Konoha made a move, the Second Great Ninja War would occur.

No one wanted such a thing to happen.

Is it because of Kagami?

Using his life to bring a daughter-in-law?

By the way, if he were to win over both Mikoto and Kushina, what would happen to Naruto and Sasuke in the future?

Would they be his children?

Ahem, here Kazuki had to say something for Hiruzen. Many people said he was an old schemer, and that he and Danzo conspired to destroy the Senju clan.

But in reality, the Senju Clan was disbanded by Tobirama. Most of the Senju clan merged into Konoha's civilian population, and a portion of the Senju clan went to the Daimyo's Mansion.

Hashirama's son married the Daimyo's daughter and gave birth to Tsunade and Nawaki. Currently, he is leading that portion of the Senju clan and living at the Daimyo's Mansion.

This could be considered diversified investment. Nver underestimate Tobirama's political wisdom.

Unlike the Uchiha, who focused solely on the Police Force and didn't even know when they were being plotted against.

If the Uchiha had truly made preparations outside, they wouldn't have been annihilated.

Unfortunately, the path to the Daimyo's Mansion is temporarily impassable for the Uchiha, at least for now.

"Alright, let's go back. Grandpa still needs to teach you how to use the Sharingan today."

Seeing that Kazuki seemed to realize something, Mikoto smiled, a hint of envy flashing in her eyes.

Previously, Kazuki's strength was not much different from hers, but ever since Kazuki awakened the Sharingan, she was no longer a match for Kazuki.

As a talented woman of the Uchiha clan, Mikoto found it hard to accept such a thing, especially not wanting to be left too far behind by Kazuki.

...

On the other side, Kushina walked into Mito's room with light steps.

"Grandma Mito, I'm back!"

"Oh, it's Kushina! How are you getting along with your classmates?" Mito motioned for Kushina to sit beside her, asking with a benevolent expression.

It seemed the destruction of the Uzumaki clan had not caused the old woman too much sadness or grief.
