Chapter 2 - Planning ahead

The last lines of the letter struck a chord within Kamarani. Realizing that someone loved him so deeply, it touched him to know that Alana's love was unconditional, and her final request for his happiness showed both her strong character yet served as a serious reminder for him to honor her by doing better.

He had to improve himself to save her.All the anger and need for vengeance that he has buried deep within himself, he needed to fight against that.

He was not stupid he knew that going to battle with a mind clouded by anger will not end in a favorable outcome for him.

Even more so now, he has so much to lose.

He felt a heavy regret, knowing that her life was cut short because of the very mistakes he now wanted to fix.

That she had to take her own life in order to support his ambitions, why would anyone love someone so foolishly?

Kamarani he sat there thinking about what he had just witnessed, a moment ago he had been freaked out but now as he sat in the garden, the wind blowing his hair slightly, his mind was much clear.

He was not stupid, he had read about resurrection but it just felt strange knowing that the life he was living was a second chance after he had failed his first one.

He figured out that his journey wasn't just about reclaiming his throne an davenging his parents. It also involved making up for his errors, he needed to learn what true love and responsibility meant, and respecting the memory of a woman he had unfairly pushed away.

The sun began to set, filling the gardens with a warm golden glow. Kamarani sat lost in thought, his mind buzzing with ideas and plans for what was to come.

After rising from the bench, Kamarani walked back to the palace, concentrating on the tasks and challenges ahead of him. He understood that he needed to move forward with both caution and determination.

Now, he had more at stake than just his own life.

As he entered the palace, his loyal servant Jarek greeted him. Jarek, who had been by his side sincecown prince day, way before he was lessened to what he was in that very moment, Jarek glanced at Kamarani with worry in his eyes as he approached.

"Your Highness," Jarek said respectfully,

Kamarani nodded, a somber expression on his face.

Jarek's expression softened with understanding. " Sire, If there is anything I can do to assist you, please let me know."

Kamarani valued Jarek's loyalty and support. After losing his family and being left alone, he needed trustworthy people around him, and Jarek was the most dependable of them all.

"Thank you, Jarek. Right now, I need to plan my next steps carefully. I must start by understanding the kingdom's current situation and the people's feelings. I also need to reach out to those who might back my cause; I need allies."

With that, Kamarani went to his chambers, letting out a sigh as he looked at the stack of paperwork waiting for him. He made most of the decisions in the kingdom and was essentially the one keeping the Galilia Kingdom stable.

He analyzed the documents and reports that had been set aside for him. The political situation was complicated, with different groups fighting for power and influence. His uncle's schemes and the threat that was Prince Yaris were all major hurdles, but Kamarani planned to turn these challenges into opportunities.

He spent the evening carefully developing plans and strategies, using both what he learned from his father and new insights he had gained during his life of solitude under the rule of his uncle.

His current goal was to build alliances, gain support from nobles who had once support and were loyal to his parents, and ensure his efforts to restore Eryndor aligned with the kingdom's best interests.

As night passed, Kamarani felt refreshed. The obstacles ahead were tough, but he now had a better understanding and a clearer vision of his mission.

This was his journey to reclaim his position and protect Alana better for this time, he would not fail he could not fail, failure was not an option for him.

In the stillness of his room, Kamarani paused to think about the path that had led him here.

As he got ready for the upcoming days, Kamarani sensed that he was prepared to tackle whatever challenges might come his way.

Very early the next morning Kamarani sent Jarek to get him things that he will need for the day ahead. And he willed his power to consume him, covering him.

He pictured the woods behind the palace, that place was pasted in his mind like a magnet it was the few places where he held dear to him. The memories of him, his brothers and their father were dominant in that place, hence it was always where his mind wonder every-time he needed to teleport out of the palace.

Opening his eyes, and shaking his head slightly to stop the mild buzz that always happened after he teleported. Kamarani glimpsed around him and sure enough, he was in the Shadowed Woods. The palace was still visible from where he was standing and he could not afford be found out.

There was a very important place that he needed to visit, this place was one of the reasons why he got out of the palace today despite the stakes at hand is he were discovered.

The Shadowed Woods were a very dangerous place, hence he was certain that no one would find him there, but he can never let his defenses down. His uncle was a very cautious man, he could not leave such a weak spot un-surveillance while he had assets to guard.

Walking not to harried yet not too slow he sees that the trees seem to be wanting to tell him something, the shivered and shook viciously, bright green leaves falling down on him as if to telling him to hide.

Glancing around quickly he finds a large tree with wide, big roots, he chant a spell and the roots open wider for him, allowing him to end and he chant again to close them.

Soon after the air around him feels cold and he hold his breath, he knew what was just outside, near the tree.

Shadow knights, they were very dangerous being that were inhabitants of the Shadowed woods, they could smell ones aura and can shred you to pieces in a mare wink.

Feeling the air shift back to normal again and the trees's calmed down, Kamarani can finally release his breath, that thing was gone.

He quickly and quietly gets out from inside the tree's root after chanting a spell and he chants another spell to have the roots go back to their normal positions.

Touching the tree briefly as a form of appreciation, he moves to the opposite of the palace and finally exited the Shadowed woods.
