1000s of km far from the palace they appeared in front of a small house. Vincent moved and knocked on the door.
"Come in" A man's voice came from the inside.
Vincent and Aurora looked at each other then the child while entering the house. They entered a large Hall inside the Hall, the smell of various plants lingered in the air. At the center of the Hall a man can be seen mincing some herbs in a bowl. The man had white hair ,long beard his face had some wrinkles which were a sign of his old age but his green eyes were shining with a clarity of youth.
"Dr.Rosetein look at our child. I don't know what happened, his body suddenly started bleeding ,please do something! " Aurora said, her face filled with worry ,her eyes moist. Even the divine healer was shocked seeing such expression on the woman whose eyes always looked cold as ice.
Then he looked at the child taking him from Aurora's hand. The child's condition was really bad, blood was flowing from all the holes in the child's body. He waved his hand light materializing from his body covering the body of the child vanishing all the blood. Light moved inside the body of the child suddenly his eyes widened as child threw up more blood. Aurora who saw this her face turned pale while Vincent tightly held her supporting her body.
"Doctor what's wrong with his body?" Vincent asked.
"I don't know, it's the first time I am seeing something like this. Never in my long life have I seen something like this" Rosetien replied his eyes still widened in shock.
"his body is rejecting mana, its causing him more damage, there is some kind of energy in his body it's too dark I have never felt something like this" Doctor said while examining the child's body seriously.
"Are you saying you can't treat him? " Aurora asked her voice deep while her eyes turning cold in an instant atmosphere in the room turned cold. Rosetien felt like a blade is placed on his throat one wrong word and he will, and he knew if this woman want to kill him there is no one in the empire who can save.
"calm down, are you thinking of killing this old man, I am just saying we can't heal him with magic" He replied carefully choosing his words.
" but we can use medicine to treat him" temperature in the room returned to normal while Rosetien sighed in relief , even Vincent was relieved he knew she would have really killed Rosetien if he said he can't heal the child.
Soon gate of the room broke open more than 10 men entered the room wearing armours carrying the symbol of empire while holding swords in their arms.
"Sir Rosetien are you alright?" A man in the front shouted, releasing his killing intent. His eyes then fell on the man and woman dressed in front of him. His face turned horrified seeing them both.
"Lord Duke, can you please tell us what happened here? We felt a strong killing intent from here so we rushed in," the man asked politely. Putting his sword in the seath the man behind him following him also seathed their swords.
"No, leave" But the reply came from Aurora. Hearing her cold voice the man felt a chill run down his spine.
'Ahh why did I meet this crazy woman , oh king protect me' he thought
He knew of the reputation of duchess Aurora; one wrong action can cause his death. But he was a soldier of the empire, he had to perform his duties.
"Duchess, I apologize but.." The man spoke but froze mid sentence.
Uwahh blood flew out of his mouth, his leg gave out causing him to fall on his knees.
'How' he didn't understand what happened he turned his head to look up only to find a cold pair of black eyes looking at him, his whole body trembling under the gaze causing him to fall on his back. The man behind him unsheathed their sword, he raised his hand causing them to them
'No matter what we do we will die without realizing what hit us' he knew both the Duke and Duchess were in different realm of strength.
"Didn't you hear what she said? Leave" Vincent spoke his voice cold. Without waiting for them to move he waved his hand causing all the men to disappear from the place.
"Where did you send them?" Rosetien spoke beads of sweat flowing through his despite the cold in the room.
"Don't worry they are all fine if they stayed anymore she would have killed them" Vincent spoke his voice low. He turned to look at Aurora but froze immediately seeing her looking at him with cold eyes.
" How's the child now? " He spoke looking at the child in Rosetien arms, quickly changing the topic. Aurora also looked at the child, her cold face disappearing, forming a worried expression.
' safe' Vincent thought while a sigh leaking from his mouth.
"hmm, He will be fine,"rosetien spoke "I gave him the medicine his condition is stabilizing his body is healing itself seeing its speed. It may take a few years before he completely heal" Aurora who heard his world felt her breaking into pieces. Vincent moved close to her hugging her from the side his expression didn't look much better either.
"What is happening to our child, why is it happening to him? What did he do to bear such fate? He is just a child" Aurora spoke her voice barely audible tears rolling from her eyes.
"He'll be fine "Vincent spoke quickly, moving , hugging her more tightly.
Rosetien who saw this, his eyes widened in surprise he never though a cold woman like her could make an expression like that.
'Well every person looks different when treating different people this is her being a mother. But this child, what could have happened for him to be like this? Enemy attack?, no it's impossible, no one is stupid enough to attack them both at the same time, so how?'
"So what happened for this child to be in this condition? It doesn't look like he was attacked ?" He asked unable to contain his curiosity while handing the child to Aurora.
Aurora took the child in her arms wrapping him into more clothes which materialized in her arms out of nowhere.
"I don't know what happened," Aurora looked at Vincent as she continued "as I said before our baby was born completely healthy but then suddenly he started bleeding without any reason, then we brought him straight to you" Aurora said turning to look at Rosetien.
'I'm sure she is hiding something but it's not like they have an obligation to tell me everything'
"It's fine if you don't want to tell me but make sure it doesn't happen again his condition has stabilized but his body is still wounded from inside it's miracle that he lived to take the medicine every part in his body was damaged when you brought him to me" Rosetien said with a serious look on his face.
"Will he be fine?" Asked Vincent looking at Aurora he knew she is the only one who knows what happened.
"It won't happen again I'm sure" Aurora spoke looking at the child, her eyes sharp, her face showing no emotions. But Vincent could feel the burning emotion inside his wife's heart.
"You can take him home just keep giving him these medicines" Rosetien spoke while handing them a box of syringe and injections.
Vincent nodded, accepting the box.
"Thank you so much doctor" Vincent said bowing his head Aurora did the same.
"Alright alright now leave this old man is tired I also need to deal with the mess you created, more guards should be rushing here right now" Rosetien spoke in a tired voice.
"About the guards doctor they are already here, I have locked the space here so they are unable to enter, I will leave them to you and also please keep things about the child secret" Vincent said lightly bowing before light materialized from his body causing him, Aurora and child to disappear from the place.
Rosetien who was left alone saw the guards rushing in sighed.
