Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: You Can't Be... Unable to Perform, Can You?

[Aoi Tohsaka (Moderate Fallen)] → Reward [Magecraft Knowledge (Advanced)].

Late at night.

Lin Jiuan lay in bed, looking at his system panel with a long sigh. This Authority of the Sixth Beast was truly a damned...

"Jiuan."

Aoi Tohsaka's gentle voice suddenly called from outside the door. Her tone was no different from usual—the voice of a gentle, respectable lady. But Lin Jiuan, having had a day of in-depth interaction with her, knew all too well that when this woman decided to eat someone, she didn't spit out the bones.

In the end, Lin Jiuan decided to remain silent. As the Sixth Beast, he wasn't like a normal human who would enter a state of post-nut clarity and be unable to function again. But he still had his reason. Last night, he hadn't expected a corrupted Aoi to make a move on him. Tonight, however, there was no way he was letting her in. Tokiomi Tohsaka was still in this very house, not yet asleep!

"Jiuan? Jiuan?" Aoi's voice gradually shifted from gentle to aggrieved, before falling silent.

Click.

The doorknob suddenly turned, but the door wouldn't open because it was locked. A cold smile appeared on Lin Jiuan's lips. Hah, woman, you're still too—

The sound of a key being inserted into the lock froze the smile on his face.

Click. Thump.

The lock turned, and with a soft creak, the bedroom door was pushed open. Lin Jiuan could only shut his eyes and feign sleep, hoping Aoi would spare him if she thought he was already dreaming.

With his eyes closed, his hearing became more sensitive. He heard Aoi close the door, walk to the bedside, and then the rustling sound of clothes being removed. Soon, she slipped into the bed, her warm, soft, and mature body wrapping around him. He felt a warm breath on his earlobe.

"Jiuan, why are you pretending to be asleep?"

Lin Jiuan continued to ignore her, maintaining his 'I'm really asleep' facade. But soon, he had no choice but to open his eyes. His body just wouldn't listen to him.

Cursing his useless yet all-too-useful body, Lin Jiuan looked up. In the hazy moonlight, Aoi's face had shed its usual gentleness, replaced by a mask of pure desire. His voice was as stiff as his uncooperative body. "Madam, Tokiomi is still home."

"Is that why?" Aoi's face grew even rosier, her beautiful eyes shimmering with an alluring mist. "It's fine. He won't find out."

"Besides," she continued, resting her head against his cheek, her enchanting eyes gazing at his flawless, doll-like face as she whispered like a lover, "doesn't that make it even better?"

Lin Jiuan was about to snap. But with sheer willpower, he held back, refusing to trade a lifetime of happiness for a moment's pleasure. You can do it, Lin Jiuan! Show it who's the master of this body!

"Be good. After Tokiomi leaves tomorrow morning, I'll play with you again."

"Alright."

To Lin Jiuan's surprise, Aoi was unexpectedly agreeable. She just held him tighter, a hint of a coquettish pout in her voice. "I'll listen to whatever you say."

Lin Jiuan breathed a sigh of relief and shot a fierce glare at the woman who was now closing her eyes, holding him. Just you wait. After Tokiomi is dead, I'll show you what true domestic authority looks like.

Thinking this, Lin Jiuan closed his eyes. But just as he was about to drift into sleep, his eyes snapped open again. He stared expressionlessly at Aoi beside him.

Aoi looked back at him with worried eyes, whispering, "I didn't mean to. I was just a little worried... that you might not be able to perform, so..."

Lin Jiuan's expression shifted from indifference to ferocity. Fine. You're not afraid to die, are you? Coincidentally, neither am I!

Let's do this!

"This won't do!"

Rin Tohsaka shot up in her bed. Her hair was a mess, making her look like a female ghost as she stared at the clock on her bedside table.

00:37.

She had washed up and gotten into bed at ten o'clock but had been lying awake ever since. Every time she closed her eyes, the image of Lin Jiuan "treating" her mother in the genkan replayed in her mind.

Although she didn't understand what kind of illness he was treating, Rin was no fool. Well, maybe she was a little foolish, but after thinking about it all night, she felt something was wrong. Her mother was definitely hiding something from her, but she couldn't figure out what.

Should she ask her mother? Rin didn't have the courage, and her mother probably wouldn't tell her the truth anyway. After a moment of hesitation, Rin's eyes lit up.

"I can ask Lin Jiuan!"

Rin was a girl of action. The moment the idea popped into her head, she didn't even bother with slippers. Barefoot and in her pajamas, she left her bedroom and ran toward Lin Jiuan's room.

Arriving at his door, Rin was just about to knock when she noticed a faint sound coming from inside.

"Is that... the sound from the genkan this afternoon?"

Though she still couldn't identify the sound, she clearly remembered hearing it earlier. Instantly, Rin's eyes widened in disbelief.

Tonight, Mother is sleeping with that stray she just picked up again?!

The girl's face filled with an envy that was almost jealousy. Hesitating, her curiosity got the better of her, and she quietly pushed the door open just a crack.

She got a perfect view of the scene inside.

Instantly, for reasons she didn't understand, Rin's face turned beet red. After just one glance, she fled as if she'd seen a ghost.

On her way back to her room, as she passed her sister's door, it suddenly opened.

"Sister?" Sakura, rubbing her sleepy eyes, blinked to make sure. She tilted her head. "What are you doing?"

"N-Nothing!" Rin shook her head frantically like a rattle drum. She couldn't help but ask, "Sakura, did you see what happened in the genkan this afternoon?"

"Are you talking about Onii-chan treating Mother's illness?"

"Yes. Do you know what kind of illness it is?"

Sakura tilted her head, putting on an adorable expression of deep thought that made Rin fight the urge to pat her head. "Sakura doesn't know." She shook her head apologetically. "But it must be a very serious illness."

"Probably," Rin said, agreeing deeply. After all, what sane person gets treatment in the middle of the night? Her mother must be terminally ill. The kind of illness that Father must never know about!

Though Rin still didn't understand what they were doing, she vaguely realized that if her father found out, she and Sakura might never see their mother again. So she instructed, "Sakura, you must not tell anyone about this, especially Father, you understand?"

"Mhm! Sakura is a good girl! Sakura won't tell anyone!"

Only then did Rin, relieved, bid her sister goodnight and hurry away. Left behind, Sakura watched her sister's retreating back, a faint smile suddenly appearing on her small face.

"Sister really is an idiot."
