Jin looked dazed at the current system and all the stats he had. He was just a commoner by the looks of it.

he looked at his mother and a look of determination sparked in his eyes.' I lost you once mother and i wont lose you again.

{System notification: host must eliminate all the threats approaching to gain rewards and exp. Time limit one day}

'Ohhh so its like that' he thought. He could gain rewards through clearing missions and completing tasks. They were quite a distance away from the kingdom and were approaching another little city within the kingdom.

"Your highness we approaching Moon Lotus city" the coachman said as they approached the gates.

Jin and his mother Lana stepped out of the carriage, the fresh fragrance of blooming cherry blossoms welcoming them to Moon Lotus City. The streets were lively yet serene, with petals dancing in the breeze and the faint hum of a flute echoing from a distant corner. The coachman guided them to a nearby inn called The Misty Petal, a modest but clean establishment nestled between two tall willow trees.

They entered, and Lana approached the counter, her gaze still distant with weariness.

"We'll need two rooms," she said quietly. "One for me and my son, and another for our coachman."

The innkeeper nodded respectfully. "Of course, madam. Welcome to Moon Lotus City. Breakfast is served at sunrise."

The night passed uneventfully. Jin, although exhausted, found it hard to sleep. He began practicing according to what he had seen in the games he played. He needed to kill atleast ten animals to unlock the system starter pack so he had no idea where to start. he could only sleep and wait for the next day. The room was dim, the light of the moon spilling gently through the wooden lattice window.

Morning came with golden light spilling into the city and the subtle scent of lotus dew. Jin slipped out quietly while his mother still rested. He walked through the city, awed by its quiet charm. The air was fresh, the roads neatly paved with stone, and every corner held some sense of delicate balance between nature and civilization.

As he passed by the grand Council Hall a building flanked by two bronze lion statues his eyes landed on a bulletin board outside. Among various notices was one written in bold ink:

"Adventurer team seeking a carrier boy. Forest hunt expedition. Must be able to carry packs. Payment upon return!!!!!!."

Jin didn't hesitate. He tore the small contact slip from the bottom and followed the directions provided. Soon, he found himself standing outside the East Gate, where five adventurers were gathered tough-looking men and women clad in light armor and cloaks. Their weapons were polished and gleaming, and their expressions cold and uninterested.

"Is this the brat we're bringing?" one of them muttered.

A tall man with a scar across his cheek laughed. "Look at him, he can barely carry himself, let alone our gear!"

Jin clenched his fists but remained quiet. He knew he had something to prove.

A girl with auburn hair and a calm, soft expression stepped forward. Her eyes were kind, and her voice gentle.

"Don't mind them," Sarah said, offering him a small smile. "They're just grumpy in the morning. What's your name?"

"Jin," he replied, slightly taken aback by her kindness. "I'm… new to this."

"Well, Jin, everyone starts somewhere. Just do your best, alright?" she said, adjusting the bow on her back. "You don't have to impress anyone but yourself."

"They really don't think I can do anything," he muttered.

  Sarah looked at him thoughtfully.

"Let them think what they want. Some of the strongest people I've met started with nothing. What matters is that you don't give up. Keep your eyes open in the forest, and don't stray from the group."

"I'll remember that," Jin said, feeling a flicker of warmth in his chest.

The group began moving toward the forest path, their laughter and banter trailing behind them. Sarah gave Jin a reassuring nod as he followed behind, the sun rising high above them, casting long shadows ahead. Something in the forest awaited perhaps danger, perhaps opportunity.

But Jin had already taken the first step.
