JAKE'S POV🔥~
"Who the hell do you think you are to talk to her that way?!" I fumed with anger.
I didn't know when I reacted that way, I know sage was dragging me down but I ignored her and did what I wanted.
I couldn't let some boy talk to Cassie that way.
"Well well well. What do we have here?" The boy said looking puzzled.
"Jake what are you doing? You're supposed to be hiding." Cassie said to me in a whisper.
"I knew it. I knew you were hiding something you little crook!" The boy snarled at Cassie and that made me step in front of her.
The boy chuckled nastily.
"I see how this is going to be. Look here boy!" He spat.
"I don't know what game this is, or what you're trying to achieve here, but I'm going to advise you to stop. Right. This. Instant. Otherwise you're going to get hurt. And I mean it when I say that." He continued.
I chuckled slightly, "I'm going to let this one go because you have no idea who I am or what I'm capable of." I said to him.
"Hmm. Right. So I'm guessing you're not alone. Where is the other one? The other person you're hiding?" He smirked at us.
"There's no other person here apart from the three of us." Cassie defended.
"Still lying? Huh I see." He said and nodded.
"Now. I'm going to say this one more time." His voice changed into a serious tone.
"Who else is here with you?" He asked us and conjured up a ball of fire. But the thing is, his flames were blue. Unlike the normal fiery orange flame.
I quickly conjured up two round balls of fire as well.
"Ahh my fellow fire elemental, I just happened to be the better upgrade. It's sad that I'll have to kill you this way." He said to me and I sent one of my fire balls flying towards him. Unluckily, he was quick enough to dodge it.
"Cassie I need you to take cover somewhere. I don't want you to get hurt." I said to Cassie and thankfully she didn't argue with me and just complied.
The boy sent countless blue balls of fire at me and I quickly conjured a shield to save myself from the impact.
He didn't even stop for a second to take a break and kept sending his flames.
Blue flame is so much hotter than our regular orange flame.
(I can't hold this shield for long). I thought to myself.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhrrhh" I screamed in pain. My shield was beginning to melt off and my skin burning a bit.
(How can this be?)
I suddenly let out a sharp breath when the hotness subsided and flames stopped coming at me.
I looked up and saw that Sage had shot an arrow at the boy, which distracted him.
"More surprises I see." He said when he saw Sage at one corner holding her conjured bow and arrow still aimed at him.
"Keep your damned freaking blue flames to yourself else I'm going to shot your eyeballs off." Sage threatened him.
"Ooohhhhh this one's scary." The boy mocked her.
Sage shot another arrow and it landed right on his foot.
"Aww aww shit!!! You bitch!" He winced in pain and fell to hold his foot.
"Don't push me. Boy!" Sage warned him.
"I'm going to make you pay for this." He said to her.
"I'll be betting on that." Sage said to him.
"Jake, Cassie, get up, let's move out." Sage said to us.
Cassie and I, with sage left the boy in the room. He was struggling to remove the arrow from his foot.
We saw Madeline and Damon at the same spot we left them.
"What happened in there? What took you guys so long!" Madeline said.
"What happened to you guys keeping watch! Some dude just attacked us!" Sage said outraged.
"Attacked you guys? When? I'm pretty sure we did keep watch." Madeline replied.
"Well, unless,...there was this one time Madeline and I were sort of arguing about something. We didn't realize someone passed by. Hey Cassie." Damon confirmed and winked at Cassie.
"Okay enough with the talk. We should get outta here now before more people discovers us." I said to them.
"Too late." We heard someone say and turned to see four other kids. About the same age as us. And then the boy from the room joined them, making them five.
"Oh shit." Sage muttered.
"Remember me?" The boy from the room asked and smirked at us.
This can't be good.

CASSIE'S POV
Oh no. We've been caught.
"What are we gonna do now?" I asked everyone and Jake replied, "We fight. Show these kids what we're capable of."
Is he forgetting I know nothing about combat or fighting?
I barely learned anything from it.
I've only been learning how to master my powers, not combat.
"Ohhh great." Madeline said sarcastically.
"Cassie just stay behind us. We'll take care of this." Jake said to me and I nodded and stood behind their backs.
If only my powers were back. This would have ended very quickly.
"Look, just give the girl back to us and no one will have to get hurt." The boy with the earth element said to us.
I remember how nice he was to me when he brought me lunch. But then, I also remember him saying he turns people into stones. He's definitely one of the bad guys.
"Speak for yourself. I'm out for violence." The fire boy said and smirked.
"Okay enough of the pep talk." Miss grumpy pants said and conjured up spikes of ice and aimed them at us all. "Give us the girl." She simply stated.
Jake let out a heavy breath. It was hot, so hot it melted the ice spike in front of him.
Damon conjured a sword and knocked out the one in front of him, Sage and me.
"Seriously? Gee thanks Damon." Madeline commented sarcastically.
Damon didn't knock hers out.
Madeline conjured up her own sword and knocked out the spike in front of her.
The earth boy flickered his hands and suddenly branches sprung out from the ground and siezed all my Friends and plastered them to the walls.
"What the hell!" Damon struggled to get free but couldn't.
"Now Cassie. Come over here and lets end this here." The earth boy said to me and I Shaked my head no.
"Oh please. You're not the only one with earth powers." Madeline spat and used one of her hands that was free to summon branches from the earth.
She did exactly the same thing to them and they were all plastered on the wall.
I think the earth boy lost focus cause, the branches around my friends suddenly released them all.
"Nice work Madeline." Damon commended her and she rolled her eyes at him.
I don't know how he did it but the earth boy quickly got free from the branches hold, and also freed his friends.
Immediately they got free they exchanged looks and nodded at each other.
The fire boy faced Jake, the ice girl faced Damon, The earth boy faced Madeline, the air girl faced Sage, and the last girl faced me. I think she was also ice.
They all attacked at the same time, and luckily enough, everyone of us except me was fast enough to conjure up a shield.
"I'm sorry I can't help you guys." I said to my friends.
"Just shut up and stay close." Sage replied.
I looked over to Jake and saw he was getting weak from the hotness of the blue flame.
Damon and the ice girls seemed to be tied. None of them looked like they were getting tired.
Sage kept moving backwards due to the heavy air that kept coming at her, she was losing.
Madeline stood strong and wasn't moved too much from the stones that was being launched at her direction.
I, on the other hand stood there, helplessly, wishing to help out my friends.
Damon was fighting the two ice girls.. and I know he would soon lose to them.
I didn't know what to do so I knelt down, feeling defenseless.
"Stop. Please just stop." I said but I was certain nobody heard me.
And suddenly, then and there, I felt it. That electrifying feeling seeping through me, trying to be let out.
"I. said. STOP!!!!!!!!" I yelled out outraged, and suddenly everyone stopped on their tracks. Every movement, every shadow, every noise, everything stopped.
I looked over to my friends, they weren't moving, and neither were the others fighting them. They were all so oddly still. Like they were frozen in time, unmoving.
What just happened? Did I do this?
I thought to myself.
