"Well… then which one do I take?" Theroft asked, slipping into a battle stance.
"The summons. You fight those… I'm going after the summoner," Haruka replied, matching his posture.
"Hmm…" Fyn muttered, observing the two men with narrowed eyes.
"Grraaah…" The opposing man growled as his form twisted and morphed into a large wolf.
"Huh? No wonder… I thought he was gay. Turns out he's just a furry," Haruka said, squinting.
"Same," Theroft added, nodding solemnly.
"Hmm… hmm…" Fyn muttered again, pouting slightly.
"What? You're not a furry?! That explains a lot actually," Haruka said as he launched himself toward Fyn.
"Hmm… Skill: Hmm…" Fyn whispered while smoothly sidestepping and conjuring a lightning bolt in one hand.
"Dang!" Haruka shouted, quickly forming a bowl-shaped shield of sand. "Skill: Dustbowl!"
The lightning bolt slammed into the sand bowl, dispersing with a crackle of energy.
"Y'know… your voice sounds like an angel, Fyn. Soft and mysterious…" Haruka said, backing away.
"Hmm… hmm…" Fyn replied, conjuring fire in her palm this time.
"Wait… you're a girl?! No wonder! That answers so many questions!" Haruka yelled, suddenly pulling out a glowing metal baseball bat.

(POV: Noysd)
The fabric of the universe had shattered. Again. It slowly began stitching itself back together, like a tired grandma re-knitting reality.
"Hoo~... Seems I underestimated another weapon… Summon: Sen Katto," Hynfort declared. A radiant flash revealed a sleek katana in his hand. He stood with his feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, katana held at navel height, angled downward with deadly calm.
"Hoh~... neat posture," Noysd said, casually extending his right hand.
"Hiya!" Hynfort shouted, dashing forward with a downward slash.
Noysd blocked it, calm as ever. Hynfort swung again. And again. From every angle.
"Hey now… don't go omnidirectional on me. That's sus as hell," Noysd said, deflecting each attack.
"Heh. What do you mean, old man?" Hynfort grinned, slashing even faster.
"You know what I mean, Nao," Noysd replied, conjuring a fireball as he slid back.
"Tch… how did you know?" Hynfort asked, also retreating and summoning a bolt of lightning.
"Meh… live long enough and you pick up a thing or two about 'information blocks'," Noysd shrugged and lobbed the fireball.
"...So not even the gods' power can hide my name, huh…" Hynfort muttered, cutting the fireball mid-air and hurling the lightning bolt.
"@#$#@%!" Noysd shouted, slapping the lightning bolt aside like it was a misbehaving cat. A crater opened behind him from the deflected blast. He calmly formed a finger gun and aimed it at Hynfort.
'Hmm... that language... it's ancient. Where have I heard it before?' Hynfort thought.
'Water's wet, right? Also, Twitter's still a hellscape...' Noysd thought.
"#@%$*#@... Now that was ancient," Noysd muttered, brushing imaginary dust off his shoulder.
Suddenly—
"Hynfort! Teleport us out of here, NOW!" Fyn shouted, running toward him with a blood-soaked hand.
"Huh?!" hynfort flinched, surprised she actually spoke.
Noysd glanced at Fyn's hand. His expression darkened. Kohaku and Haruka's blood dripped from her fingers.

(An hour earlier)
"Hmm…" Fyn mumbled, forming a shimmering barrier of magic.
"Heh. Theroft, you done already?" Haruka asked, still gripping his bat tightly.
"Yes. Well, there goes my time. Bye, you idiotic master..." Theroft muttered before dissolving into dust.
"Sure. Guess it's just us now," Haruka smirked, tightening his stance.
"Hmm! Grrr!" Fyn snarled, conjuring a gigantic fireball above her.
"…Shit. Skill: Lake of Shield!" Haruka shouted, summoning a tidal wave of water.
The colossal fireball slammed downward, hitting the water with an earth-shaking hiss. Steam exploded into the sky, shrouding everything in thick smoke.
"It's not enough!" Haruka yelled as the flames began breaking through.
"Skill: Fire Destroy!" a woman's voice echoed.
FWOOSH! The fireball vanished in an instant, leaving only steam.
"Hmm!?" Fyn's eyes widened.
"Huh? Wait… Kohaku?!" Haruka blinked through the steam, eyes wide...
