"Leon!"
A worried voice called out from behind, making Leon flinch slightly.
He quickly sat up and turned toward the source of the voice—Zelda was running toward him, her face full of concern.
"Zelda?" Leon looked surprised, but then smiled. "You're okay, right? Did Guren hurt you?"
Zelda stopped beside him, breathless. When she saw that Leon was unharmed, she let out a relieved sigh.
"I'm fine," she said softly, sitting down next to him. "What about you? You weren't hurt by the Evil God's consciousness, were you?"
"Relax, I'm fine." Leon chuckled, patting his chest. Then he pointed at the enormous black dome in front of them. "Look at that. That pile of ash is what's left of the Evil God's consciousness. I defeated him."
Zelda looked ahead—and sure enough, there was a fifteen-centimeter pile of dust.
No doubt, that was what remained of the Evil God's consciousness Leon had mentioned.
