A few days ago, the "Game of the Gods" began. I was just going about my day when a massive dome appeared over the city. Later, I discovered that angels,demons and spirits had chosen this area to select their new "Avatars" for the "Game of Gods".
Each "Avatar" would be chosen by Them through various tests or games, some testing intelligence, physical and mental endurance, some of which were life and death challenges.
Thus began the APOCALYPSE.

I hated that voice the first time I heard it. I'm praying we'll be back.
The first trial was a kind of endurance test, as you were chased by predatory animals. A lot of bloody beasts tearing people apart left and right. Blood surging on the streets, but I've continued my run without turning back, even if people were losing their lives.
Let's just say my years of playing football paid off. I really should be thankful to our P.E. teacher who made us run all those years. In the end, I've managed to reach the end of the street without being part of all that massacre.
The Central Park wasn't that far away, so I went on a narrow street avoiding those big beasts, getting closer and closer to the finish line. All I can hear is screams of pain and all I can observe is total chaos. Panic, fear, a complete disaster. Beasts like that could be seen 10 meters from the Park. Their eyes, I can say, made their mark on my soul.
Those screams from who knows what forgotten corner of Hell. At the end of the carnage, sorry "test", a voice echoed throughout the city again.

They say eliminated… a full-on massacre. Well, the first trial was a piece of cake compared to what followed…
I looked around and saw people with blood, wounds, and lifelong scars. I observed one of my cousins. I started to walk towards him. But I guess the over-solicitation and adrenaline coupled with my lifestyle just didn't mix. Because I collapsed from a dizzy spell. Before I could recover from the shock, that voice was heard again.

Trial of Faith.~
You might be wondering what that could mean… well, it's simple. Religion has always been the best method to control the masses. As my History teacher said in sixth grade, "Whoever created Religion was, is, and will be the smartest person." It seems They know that too. In this trial, no one was killed by Them. Everyone who died committed suicide. I witnessed friends and family members go mad, screaming, only to take their own lives.

7,953 players have been eliminated.~
Now, you might be thinking, "What was so bad that so many people took their own lives?" Let's just say you would be subjected to every torture method ever created by humanity. Not only could you not die, but you also witnessed all the atrocities in history.
Imagine being in a Nazi concentration camp or "helping" perfect the electric chair. Experience firsthand what it's like to be drawn and quartered. I think you get the idea. Now you're probably wondering, "Why didn't you all die?" Simply put, we were placed under some "magic" that induced these things collectively.
They wanted to destroy believers and the last trace of faith. Let's say that even though in theory, over 10000 survived, I can swear, at least 50% still went insane, but they were afraid to die.
All it says is that the second trial showed me how easy it is to lose someone. A friend took his life with a shard of glass right when I got to him. My cousin mutilated herself with a tree. Slamming her face into it until she died. All I can say is although I survived from that ordeal I have panic attacks every time I sleep.

Now, let me briefly tell you what happened.
~Third trial completed: 3,760 winners.
A total of 6,890 players were eliminated.
1,980 were penalized.
Please adhere to the trial conditions to avoid penalties.~
The conditions make me laugh when I remember them. This trial was a survival challenge against the 'monsters' or whatever they are! We had to survive for about 12 hours. Where's the downside, you ask? Well, it's simple.
~Trial Conditions:
1: Do not leave the trial area.
2: Any attempt to escape 'The Game of Gods' will be severely penalized.
3: Kill 5 goblins or steal one of their 500 treasures.
Non-compliance will be heavily penalized!!~
I think you can see now why they said that out of over 6000 participants about 2000 were eliminated due to penalties. I am still not proud of what I did but it was the only way to survive. I hid like a coward. Watching people get attacked... killed… I just didn't care. I was so scared as I sat in a trash can.
I didn't care about the garbage or the rats or that I could get myself cut. I was frozen with fear. The treasure was 10-15 meters in front of me, but it was guarded by those hideous green creatures. When that group of people attacked the creatures to take the treasure I.... My body reacted on its own. And I stole that treasure and then hid again.
Nevertheless, I'm still alive. And that's the only thing that matters to me. I sacrificed a few people to steal that treasure. For now, I can say that the treasure was worth it.
