Chen Ke activated his Spiritual Vision and scanned the mansion. Although it was inhabited by the wealthy, the security wasn't as tight as a secret base. There were only a couple of guards at the entrance and a few scattered around the yard on patrol.
"Follow me, and things will be simple," Chen Ke shook his head. He had no patience for sneaking around. He strode boldly towards the mansion's main gate.
"Hey hey!" Jacob tried to stop Chen Ke but was a step too slow.
The two guards saw Chen Ke heading straight for the gate and immediately became alert. After all, there was a curfew in Langdon after nightfall, and no civilians should be wandering the streets.
"Sir, step back!" One of the guards drew his revolver to threaten Chen Ke.
Suddenly, their hearts clanged as if something terrified them to the core. A sharp, intense fear pierced their chests like a drill.
