"It's a beautiful night, isn't it?" I asked the perfect stranger I just met.
"Sure is" he said and picked up a couple of stones and started skipping them on the river. "Are you here for the party going on over the hill?" He asked me.
"Yeah. The party" I exhaled loudly. "Are you?" I asked him back.
"Yep and as you can see, it's going really well since I'm out here instead of in there"
I smiled. It was a little funny that we were both trying to escape the same event.
"I should probably go back to the party if I am to find a husband before dawn and you should too if you expect to find a wife. And it was nice meeting you, Mr…" I realized that we had been down here for almost two hours and we didn't even know each other's name.
He stopped skipping stones to say. "Why ruin our fun by some pesky little thing like real names and boring real life? I would like to be called…" he tapped his nose as he thought of a name.
