Aurora gave a weak smile and shook her head.
"Everything's okay," she said softly.
But deep inside, she was hurting.
She had spent hours preparing a surprise for Spencer today. She thought he would smile. She thought he would be happy.
But instead, he just gave her a cold shoulder.
And now… He wasn't replying to her messages at all.
What did I do wrong this time? Aurora wondered sadly.
Olivia, sitting on the couch beside her, watched her sister quietly. Even though Aurora didn't say anything, her gloomy face said everything.
After a moment, Olivia gave a little chuckle.
"Let me guess… this is about Spencer, isn't it?"
Aurora's eyes widened. She looked at her sister in surprise.
"How… how did you know?" she asked, blinking fast.
Olivia gave her a teasing smile. "Easy. Since we were kids, whenever you look this heartbroken, it's always because of Spencer."
Aurora laughed, thinking Olivia was just being playful. "Haha, come on! I didn't even know Spencer when I was a kid."
