Chapter 119 - The Title Got Bitten Off by Tohka

"Are you okay, Tohka?" Seeing Tohka's face suddenly turn pale, Miku Izayoi asked with concern.

She didn't understand what was going on—why Tohka suddenly looked like that.

"N-no, it's nothing." Hearing Miku's question, Tohka forced a dry laugh.

Then she stammered her reply.

Right now, she was really worried. Not about whether that thing was valuable or not—but what if someone got their hands on it and made a whole Venom army? That would be a disaster.

But on second thought, even if that thing was troublesome, she could probably deal with it easily herself. Worst case scenario, she'd personally recover it.

"Here you go, young miss. I already told him everything I know. If you need anything else, just ask him directly. Alright, blue mountains remain, green rivers flow—we'll meet again someday."

Deadpool tossed the phone back to Tohka and swaggered away, clearly trying to leave them with a cool silhouette.

Unfortunately, earlier when he was punched by Tohka, he had knocked over a trash can—and now, he happened to step on a banana peel and faceplanted miserably.

"Ow, that really hurt! Which jerk has no sense of public decency?!"

Deadpool got up in a mess and angrily kicked the banana peel away.

Then, as if nothing had happened, he calmly walked off again.

What surprised Tohka was that he hadn't used his teleport belt—she had already been preparing to incinerate whatever body parts he left behind.

"Hey, who was that guy? Why did you suddenly go quiet?"

Phone in hand, Tohka noticed Tony hadn't responded with one of his usual flirty remarks.

"Well... I can tell you, but don't act rashly, okay? With your power, taking that guy down wouldn't be hard, but it would throw the U.S. into serious chaos."

But instead of answering directly, Tony replied in a rare serious tone.

"Who is it that you're being this cautious about? Would taking him out really make me public enemy number one or something?" Tohka asked, confused.

In her mind, once they knew who it was, just go kill them—what's the big deal? Unless the guy was some sort of fake saint on the surface?

"No, but it's complicated."

"To completely eliminate him, we'd need government cooperation. But we don't have solid evidence, so the politicians won't help."

"If we go after him ourselves, it could set off a chain reaction. No matter what we do with him afterward, it would become a huge problem."

Tony shook his head and continued.

He knew about the guy's existence too, but without proof, he couldn't act.

"Wait, what you're saying just reminded me of someone." As she said this, Tohka suddenly recalled someone.

"Mm, looks like you figured it out. That person is—Kingpin, the emperor of New York's underworld."

Hearing Tohka's words, Tony didn't hide it and said the name outright.

"So, it really is that guy... that's going to be a bit troublesome." Tohka frowned.

What surprised her was why that guy had targeted her.

But then she quickly realized—it must've been from when she teamed up with Spidey to mess around, and that fat guy noticed.

Still, she was a bit unwilling and asked, "Since even Deadpool said it, why not just go arrest him?"

"But Deadpool's just guessing. He has no solid proof. Still, it makes sense—he spotted you the moment you showed up, so it means he's in New York."

"And right now, only Kingpin has the means to break someone out of prison. He probably has some weird mutant with special powers under his command."

Tony hurriedly stopped her, but then added, "That guy will definitely lay low for a while—he knows someone's probably already suspicious of him."

"Besides, his current strength clearly isn't enough to deal with you, or he wouldn't have taken such a risky move busting out that maniac Graviton."

"Alright, I got it. If I confirm it's him messing with me again, I'll go destroy him personally. Anyway, I'm going back to having fun. Bye."

Tohka nodded at Tony's words and didn't press further.

But she kept a mental note—if Kingpin tried anything again, she'd deal with him, no questions asked.

"Sounds good. Have fun. Say, how about I just give you the amusement park? If we're going to be friends, I should offer something of value, right?"

With Tohka's assurance, Tony was relieved—but his usual shameless personality kicked in immediately.

"No thanks. I feel like you're definitely up to something." Tohka rolled her eyes.

His tone had 'scheming' written all over it. Besides, this was San Francisco—way too far from New York.

So, she didn't give him a chance to respond and hung up.

"So, Tohka, are we still going to play?"

Miku Izayoi asked, seeing Tohka's expression shift.

She could tell Tohka had wrapped up her business but wasn't sure if she still had the mood to keep having fun.

"Play? Of course we're going to play! Why wouldn't we?" Tohka answered without hesitation.

Are you kidding? Why stop now?

This kind of opportunity didn't come often.

This was the first time she went out to have fun with a girl—there was no way she was ending it early.

As for Venom or Kingpin? Compared to this moment, they were trivial.

After all, she was the type who didn't worry too much about things.

"Uh… okay."

Seeing Tohka's smiling face, Miku Izayoi was momentarily stunned, but then nodded.

If Tohka wasn't worried, then neither was she.

But just then, Tohka's phone rang again.

When she opened it, her face immediately turned dark.

-----

The message said:

"Dear Tohka, I've transferred this amusement park into your name.

It's yours now.

If you really don't want to manage it, just don't mess with the current staff.

As return payment, remember to cooperate with me on armor development.

Also, come back soon—I'm almost out of your energy supply.

Keep it charged, will you?

Finally, have a wonderful day.

-----

"…Damn it, he's using me as a power bank again."

Staring at the message, Tohka could only helplessly facepalm.
