Mia stepped out of the corner. She watched Madam Allegra stride away and heaved a sigh. She didn't know? Of course, she knew. She was not a sixteen-year-old child who would stupidly and naively believe that a man would burn the world for her sake.
She knew that Lucas was only using this incident to his advantage, but so what? Mia knew that she didn't have the means or the power to get the justice that she wanted. Since that was the case, why would she not take the hand that was offering it all to her?
