Seeing this, Lucas frowned. He silently wondered where Mia was when he heard the sound of something moving upstairs.
"What is she doing in her room?" Lucas wondered as he made his way to the stairs and started climbing them one by one. Mia's room was not far from the base of the stairs, so it didn't take long for Lucas to come to a stop in front of her door. He looked at the woman who was busy with something and wondered what was going on with her.
He knocked on the door, causing the woman to jump. She turned and looked at the man who was standing on the threshold of her room. Her eyes were wide as if she was not expecting his presence in his own freaking house. Glad to break that bubble of yours, Miss Wills, he added scathingly in his head.
"You are back?" Mia asked as if she couldn't believe that he had come back to his own house.
