Chapter 180 - chapter 179

Jin controlled her blood and felt the degree of control she had over the Bloodbane Dragon. She punched the air while activating it.

She was trying to imitate the 'blade' effect Hou had created but instead activated the slash. A large glowing red mass moved through the dragon and shot out of Jin's fist.

It flew past Hou, missing him narrowly and smashing into the wall. Luckily once Jin started to move he gained a response from his intuition and dodged in time.

"Be careful!" Hou looked at the destruction that slash caused. The wall had a huge gaping hole and dust covered the air.

Hamar easily used his aura and moved it around the air, creating a vortex which ejected all the dust. He looked towards Jin with an incredulous look, "come on, be a bit careful."

Jin snorted andifyed her arms in a gesture of surrender, "I do apologise! I didn't think it would just do that, I was trying to make a blade like you did!"

Hou grabbed Jin's wrist and moved her arm forward. He injected his blood and wils into the dragon and started his instructions on how to use briefly.

Jin listened and used her blood and mental energy accordingly. Hou taught her how to use the blade, slash and determine power. The ability to harden the dragon into a shield and move it was intuitive to Jin with her knowledge of blood.

She held out her hand after Hou finished teaching her, "thanks again...though I don't know about you two but...I'm still weary about that Xiao Ye. Tell me if anything happens."

She left the room, taking the Bloodbane Dragon with her. However, it wasn't completely gone, the dragon was still bonded to Hou and he could sense when it was being used.

If Hou deduced some moves, he figured he could use that intangible connection to communicate with Jin. But that was something for later, for now he looked at the hole in the wall.

He leant outside it and turned back to Hamar, "You think I could bunk with you tonight? I'll teach you how to store aura later...if the method I'm thinking works, that is?"

Hamar looked out into the outside. He was beside Hou and the looked into the sky. The sky was perpetually dark and despite the room being broken they could see the miasma was still there so did not restrain their thoughts.

"Of course you can, why even ask?" He took a step out into the sky. His foot went past the miasma barrier and then he solidified aura underneath it.

He walked out into the sky and motioned Hou to follow. Hou walked into the room and picked up the disk, clicking the button again.

The miasma covering the room was sucked back into the disk and Hou carried it as he jumped out of the hole in the wall.

He activated some flight laws he had, using external cultivation and expending them. Hamar smiled and said, "follow me".

The two flew through the sky and landed atop the mansion, on the roof. They say down and looked out. Hou saw the chance and reactivated the disk. Miasma shot out and retracted; creating a bubble around them.

"So what did you want to talk about? And why here?"

Hamar placed his hand on Hou's shoulder, "I could lie to you and make excuses. I could say the room could have surveillance by Xiao Ye and that's why I went up here. I could make up some special reason."

He drew his sword and pointed it into the sky, "But I won't lie... I mean to preface I am weary of those things, that Xiao Ye is suspicious" he chuckled and shook his head, "But lets just forget all that...I just...this place. The dark cloudy atmosphere, the fog, the eerie quietness...doesn't it remind you of them days?"

Hou understood him and released a few fire laws, creating a light in front of them. A small orb of fire that rotated in the air.

"I do, it's nostalgic..." Hou looked into the foggy night.

Hamar slashed his sword, creating a line in the fog which quickly healed. Then he withdrew his sword and simply looked up for a while.

"I just wanted to sit here with you. Like the old days, everything's been so...fast lately. I didn't have time to just be with you, how about we just sit here and talk."

Hou shook his head but a smile appeared on his mouth. He slapped Hamar and the back and laughed, "but what's a night like this without something to drink!"

"You really have something?!"

Hou pulled out something from his robe, a small black pill. He crushed it in his hand and explained, "Before we left I got some strong stuff from Hou sect and asked Mo Huai if there's a way to carry it here simply. That's when I got this, a pill. But when it's crushed it turns into a bottle."

The pill was destroyed and a bottle grew from seemingly nothing displacing what was in its way. Hou held the bottle and popped it open. A wisp of vapour coming out of the opening.

Hou continued, "but it's quite strong so let's mix it with some water first."

He handed the bottle over the Hamar to hold. Then he pushed his hands into he sky and closed his eyes.

"Fog is made of water....I have atmosphere laws. The fog should be easy to manipulate....I have liquid laws...I have all the requirements, I just need to put them together..."

Hou began muttering as he figured out a move on the spot. He didn't want to use on the laws permanently but with the laws he had he thought he could easily make a body cultivation technique to draw water from fog.

He combined the elements, combining the attraction between laws, the way laws work on the world and changing his impression slightly to morph the expression.

All in all, it was a simple creation but it was well done. He activated the technique and water pooled around his fingers then it aggregated.

More and more fog turned into water as it floated in a mass around Hou's hands. Hou turned to Hamar while doing this and spoke, "I assume you could use your aura to create a cup? I have my own methods"

Hamar nodded and instantly created it. A small cup made of translucent blue material. If Hou didn't maintain it, it would break so it isn't suitable for Master Sheng.

Similarly, Hou used concentrated blood and changed it's form to create a crystalline cup. A small amount of alcohol and a small amount of water was added to the cups.

"Cheers!" Hou held up his cup into the air. Hamar clinked it together,

"Cheers!" The two sat and contemplated. They watched the surrounding as they talked and drank. They reminisced about the past, they conversed about the future. It was all laid out in that night. Occasionally they would be silent and purely reminisce but just the presence of the other was enough.
