Hou rubbed his temples, "you can't just steal someone's opportunity. I'm fine with you sneaking in but everyone here did their best to get in, they shouldn't be removed and replaced by you for no reason."
Xiao Ye pointed her finger, with it's sharp fingernail, "well whatever you say won't change my mind. I'm getting in and if this is what I need to do, I'll do it."
"What happened to you, you were so kind before..."
"That was an act, you need to remember that. Of course it wasn't JUST an act...but right now this is what I need to do and I don't mind replacing someone to accomplish what I need."
"Let me think, maybe there's a better way to do this." Hou held out his hand and began thinking. He went through all of his options on ways he could get Xiao Ye inside Sovereign Sect.
'I could ask Mo Huai but... She seems suspicious and even he couldn't detect she was a cultivator, I shouldn't reveal this. Master Sheng wouldn't, right? Hmm, in the worst case I'll have to fight against her and alert Maser Sheng.'
As Hou was thinking, Hamar kept his eyes on Xiao Ye. While Hou looked fairly calm, Hamar could tell there's something suspicious.
'They seem to know each other...but at the same time, they don't. She doesn't seem malicious but not harmless either.' Hamar kept his hand to his hip, ready to draw at any moment.
Hou made a noise and thought of something, he looked up and asked Xiao Ye a question, "Can I bring in another person? I might have a solution."
Xiao Ye looked up, "Hmm, okay! If they try to do anything I'll just take them as the person I replace."
Hou put on a nervous smile and lampooned to himself, 'good luck with that...'
"I'll just leave for a moment, I'll be back straight away."
He walked over to the door and before opening it he thought to himself. A certain name and face came to mind. He recalled them and then touched the doorknob.
He turned it and disappeared, as a floating mass of blood that flew out of the room.. He went of to get the solution he thought of. While that was happening Xiao Ye and Hamar stood still, weary of each other.
"Don't try anything" Hamar gave a warning as he flashed his aura. A faint blue glow covered his whole being.
"Fascinating technique but it doesn't scare me. I wasn't planning on doing anything....yet" Xiao Ye gave her retort.
For the next twenty minutes the room became thick with tension. Hamar was suspicious of Xiao Ye and Xiao Ye was both suspicious of Hamar and whether Hou would follow his words.
Then suddenly they heard a thump as two people's footsteps were heard by the door. Hamar noticed it and as he had been using his aura to enhance his senses, he realised who it was Hou brought.
Xiao Ye's eyes flashed and she muttered, "a girl? Strong too..."
Hou walked into view of Xiao Ye and started, "This is Jin, and Jin this is Xiao Ye."
He gestured for Jin to step forward and she did. Stepping into the light, there was a intent aura seeping out of her. Not a tangible one that needed any defensive manoeuvre.
Just an authoritative aura that showed she was quite important. She scabbed Xiao Ye, "So this is your friend that you want admitting..."
Jin looked at Xiao Ye and her eyes squinted. Her finger tensed and she felt itchy, 'This person is dangerous'.
Hou looked at the tension and cut in, "So? Is it possible?"
Jin let go of this nagging sensation coming from her intuition and nodded, "I can do it, of course I'll need that payment."
Hou nodded, "of course"
Jin held out her hand in front of Xiao Ye, "Then welcome to the Sovereign Sect Xiao Ye," they shook hands and Jin threw her a badge.
She pointed at her own badge and explained, "keep it in at all times. When you want to go somewhere or to someone, just think of it and open a door in the mansion. You have one room, and are tier 2 to start. So change your robe to a purple colour."
As soon as she finished explaining, Xiao Ye's robes changed to have a purple trim and the badge shimmered. She stood up and put her hands on Jin's shoulders,
"Thanks! I guess you all want me to leave now? I'll leave." She walked over to the door and did a final wave before opening the door and disappearing.
The trio, Hou, Hamar and Jin, let out a sigh and released the tension. Hamar dripped his aura and flopped to the floor. Jin didn't do anything to extreme but she became noticeably calmer.
Hou was calm in the outside but inside his heart was still racing, yes from his 'love' he once had but mostly from terror.
Jin was the first to break the silence, "That was... terrifying."
Hou and Hamar looked at each other and laughed, then Jin followed. The three laughed at their own scaredness before Hou talked,
"Well I don't know if that was the right thing, but I feel if we didn't do as she wanted...I might not be here right now." He breathed out deeply, "I must thank you Jin for being able to give her a rank, benefits of being the daughter of Master Sheng I guess?"
"It wasn't for free, don't thank me."
Hou nodded, "of course, here's your payment" he held out his hand. Jin shook it and the Bloodbane Dragon moved.
First it wiggled to the surface then it tentatively moved to Jin's side. It swapped Hou's blood for Jin's and a contract was made.
For a few weeks, the Bloodbane Dragon would be Jin's entirely. She couldn't do exactly the same as Hou but the main uses of it could be used.
They let go of each other and Hou's hand felt much lighter now. He waved it about feeling the burden gone.
In the other side, Jin felt the burden of 'feeding' the dragon but at the same time she could more easily sense its connection to the blood dao.
