The voice was very light and very distant. It felt like it came from somewhere far or from a different space. They couldn't tell which.
What was more frustrating was that they couldn't hear clearly what was being said. However, they could tell that whatever or whoever was speaking exuded a lot of pressure, not with malice or friendliness, but filled with indifference.
There was only one emotion that could be deciphered clearly; desire. Unfortunately, they couldn't tell what it was a desire for. But they understood that it had something to do with the apocalypse. Otherwise, this meteorite wouldn't accompany the ones that turned the Earth into a haven for walking corpses.
Realizing that they won't figure anything out like this even if they kept listening, they gave up and decided to explore the rest of the building.
