Chapter 123: The Collapse of Akatsuki

"Trash... absolute trash!"

Boom!

Nagato's voice echoed coldly through the dim chamber like the judgment of a fallen god. The very air trembled with the sharp edge of his rage.

Suddenly, with a swirling distortion of space, a masked figure emerged from the shadows—Uchiha Obito.

"Humph..."

Nagato narrowed his eyes at the arrival, his mechanical frame creaking softly as he straightened up in his floating chair. His eyes, twin Rinnegan that once inspired fear across nations, were now heavy with suppressed fury.

"So you finally remember to show up?" Nagato growled, his voice low and accusing.

Obito stepped forward with a faint trace of mockery. "If I hadn't, Akatsuki would have completely collapsed because of your reckless decisions."

"What did you say?" Nagato snapped.

Boom!

A sudden wave of oppressive chakra surged from him, crashing through the room like a storm. It pulsed with raw fury, shaking the very foundation of the tower they stood in.

But Obito remained unfazed. Bathed in the chakra storm, he simply brushed imaginary dust from his cloak and replied, "Now that Akatsuki has been exposed to the world, with its members either dead, captured, or defected, what pride do you still cling to?"

"Hahaha…"

Nagato let out a bitter, hollow laugh. "Pride? No. But I still have this..." His finger twitched, and his Rinnegan gleamed with eerie light. "The Rinnegan can remake the world. As long as I have this power, I can start everything over again!"

"Start over?" Obito chuckled darkly. "You're dreaming. You think he—the Fifth Hokage, Uchiha Yuta—will let you start over? Do you even understand what kind of monster you've provoked?"

Nagato's face stiffened.

He wanted to argue. He wanted to call Obito a coward, a traitor, a manipulator. But he couldn't. His silence was telling.

Since Uchiha Yuta became Hokage, the balance of the shinobi world had shattered. Konoha had risen like a new empire. Yuta's power was not that of a man—it was divine, absolute, and terrifying.

Still, Nagato clenched his fists. "So what do you want, Obito?"

"Simple," Obito replied coolly. "Akatsuki's current path has failed. Let's regroup and draw a new plan. Together."

Nagato hesitated.

He hated Obito's tone—commanding, condescending—but he couldn't deny that in the chaos that remained, Obito was his last, best chance.

"Fine," he muttered. "Let's—"

BOOOOOOM!!!

The atmosphere trembled. The walls shuddered.

Without warning, a crushing spiritual pressure descended on Amegakure. It felt like a mountain was pressing down on the entire sky.

"What is that?!"

Obito's eyes widened behind his mask. Even Nagato instinctively activated his chakra barrier. Konan, who had just entered, froze mid-step, her face going pale.

Then, they all understood.

That presence... was him.

"Uchiha Yuta…" Nagato whispered.

"How—how can he be here already?" Konan gasped. "He was in Konoha just yesterday!"

"He must have used a space-time jutsu," Obito murmured. "To cross the entire continent in seconds…"

They rushed outside, Nagato floating beside them through sheer will.

And then they saw it.

A figure hovered above the village—serene, motionless, yet terrible. His white Hokage cloak fluttered in the wind, its hem embroidered with crimson flames. His black hair danced in the breeze. His gaze—calm and detached—looked down as if judging the world.

Uchiha Yuta.

He didn't need words. His presence alone spoke louder than any jutsu.

"The Akatsuki…" Yuta's voice finally rang out, low and impassive. "You wanted to make the world feel pain…"

Boom!!!

With a thought, his chakra exploded outward.

It wasn't just chakra—it was will. A will so oppressive it suffocated the entire village.

It was as if conqueror's haki, divine suppression, and the killing intent of a god descended all at once.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

Air burst apart. Stone shattered. Entire buildings collapsed from the sheer weight of his spiritual pressure. The streets split. The rain that had plagued Amegakure for decades stopped—evaporated midair from the force alone.

Civilians stood frozen. Some fainted on the spot. Jōnin and ANBU alike dropped to their knees, unable to resist.

Konan stumbled back, gasping. "Is this... really the power of a Hokage?!"

Nagato's lips trembled. He couldn't breathe. His Rinnegan quivered, not in rage, but in dread.

This wasn't a battle.

It was an execution.

Uchiha Yuta hovered silently, his aura fading. His gaze swept the ruined village once... then turned away, as if none of it mattered.

He had made his point.

And now... Amegakure would never be the same again.

Elsewhere—

High atop the tower where he had once ruled, Nagato collapsed into his chair, utterly broken.

"Amegakure is destroyed…"

"Akatsuki is no more…"

His voice trembled with disbelief.

"I wanted to make Konoha feel pain… But he…"

"He made me feel despair."

Tears, hot and furious, welled in his eyes—but he said nothing more.

The god of Amegakure had fallen.

And a new god now ruled the shinobi world.
