Writer's POV
{Supermarket - 4:25 P.M.}
Kian swallowed hard, his eyes darting between his wife and the man she was desperately trying to reach for. The cold, stoic and unbothered man who killed their mother without wearing a single expression on his young face.
Killian stood still, warning Kian with his eyes. Kian bit his lower lip till it started to bleed. He turned his gaze to his fiancée.
"Babe! Can you... Can you just walk over to me?"
Cecelia, with her swollen belly and glowing cheeks, was completely unaware of the storm building between the two brothers. She ignored Kian and tried to reach again, brushing his arm, smiling in that way Killian remembered... sweet, innocent, and unearned.
Maybe, if she acted like she did in the past, she'll get his attention.
But he stepped away without a word, his face filled with annoyance and disgust. He casually picked a box of noodles off the next shelf like she didn't exist to him. Like she was air.
