"I forgot to tell you something about Eryx," Tanner says immediately. His tone is firm, eyes set forward, tension visible in his shoulders.
"What about him?" Jess asks, his attention sharpening. He shifts slightly, body leaning in, brows furrowed in focus.
"Well, he... Him and his father were fighting about Eryx not being the father, I wasn't there, but was told what happened, he was calling him a failure... I heard, Eryx said things that made people angry, the fight turned deadly, And... His father and him ended up dead."
Jess's eyes widen. His lips part slightly as the words settle. His entire expression stiffens.
"What?!" He's clearly surprised. His voice rises slightly, a mix of shock and disbelief hitting all at once.
"Yes," Tanner says, watching Jess's reaction to it. His gaze stays on him, studying every change in expression.
