~Six years later•••~
A knock sounds at the office door. Jess pulls away from Tanner immediately, fixing his shirt, buttoning up in a rush.
It hadn't been anything too serious, but Tanner is panting like he's just stepped out of an intense make-out session, or something more heated.
"Stop exaggerating, stupid. It was just a kiss. A simple one. And a little touch under your shirt." Jess says, grinning as he speaks. "Button up already. Didn't you hear the knock on the door?"
But Tanner doesn't move. He stays there in the office chair, still slightly disheveled, shirt open, eyes dazed, like Jess had short-circuited him and only Jess could bring him back.
Jess walks over with an exasperated huff, reaching out and shaking him by the shoulders before beginning to button Tanner's shirt for him.
It takes a sharp pinch from Jess to snap Tanner out of it, and finally, he reacts, laughing quietly, rubbing the spot Jess pinched.
