Yuhara's real reason for visiting the Police Department was the Konoha prison right next to it.
The prison held many inmates—criminals, traitors, and death row inmates.
Most of those on death row were confirmed enemy spies who had already harmed Konoha.
These prisoners were typically subjected to brutal interrogation by the likes of Morino Ibiki.
Those with any value were sent to ANBU. The worthless ones? Dumped into the Police Department's prison and quietly scheduled for execution.
In most cases, the Police Department didn't even need to lift a finger—those prisoners, half-dead after interrogation, were just left to rot.
Uchiha had always hated how Konoha treated their prison like a trash bin. Now, Yuhara was the one benefiting.
If he'd had Void Walk earlier, he wouldn't have needed to hunt targets outside the village.
His scarlet Sharingan spun slightly. Under genjutsu, these half-dead prisoners couldn't resist at all.
It took less than ten minutes for Yuhara to gather the life energy he needed. Then he left, calmly and composed.
He didn't activate the energy bar just yet.
"Better not risk it before the meeting. Who knows what'll happen when I activate it? I'll mess with it at home later."
With everything handled, Yuhara headed toward the Hokage Tower.
While no official time was set, Fugaku had told him the usual meeting time was around 3 p.m.
He still had plenty of time and wasn't worried about being late.
When he reached the tower, he glanced toward the ruins beneath the Hokage Rock and smiled.
That destruction was his doing—and it marked the Uchiha's new beginning.
Peace had to be earned through strength. Yuhara would never forget that.
Without last night's events, maybe the clan would've survived because of him—but who knows what schemes would've followed?
Only by crippling Hiruzen politically and sending Danzō to the Pure Land could he force the old man to back down.
"But Danzō really must've had terrifying secrets. Otherwise, would Hiruzen have given in so easily—especially when it affected himself too?"
Inside the Hokage Tower, Yuhara entered the meeting room shortly after.
He immediately noticed the shift in how others treated him.
Some clan shinobi looked calm—some even a bit friendly.
Others, however, glared at him with outright hostility—especially the two elders sitting beside Hiruzen.
"Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado, huh."
Yuhara gave them a cold glance and ignored them, walking to his seat without pause.
These two had outlived their welcome even in Boruto's era. He mentally labeled them the same as Danzō and Hiruzen—rotten to the core.
"Well, maybe that's too kind. These two are like biological weapons—nasty no matter how you slice it."
Still, just because they were powerful back then didn't mean they could do whatever they wanted now.
Even Danzō—who once had a shot at being acting Hokage—was now six feet under.
Seated, Yuhara noticed he was surrounded by unfamiliar faces.
That was normal—only the Ino-Shika-Chō trio sat together. Everyone else was scattered.
Hiashi Hyuga, for instance, sat four seats away. Inuzuka and Aburame were even farther.
The room wasn't crowded, but everyone present was Konoha's elite—whether in name or in power.
Yuhara wasn't the last to arrive. Others trickled in after him.
At exactly 3 p.m., Hiruzen finally entered, visibly tired.
He scanned the room. His gaze paused briefly on Yuhara before continuing.
Then he ordered all ANBU to leave and had the door shut.
He spoke in a low voice.
"This meeting is to address everything that happened last night. After ANBU's investigation, it's confirmed—Danzō betrayed the village.
He ordered Uchiha Itachi to annihilate the Uchiha clan and mobilized Root to support the operation, aiming to destroy a founding clan for his own gain."
Hiruzen spoke calmly and somberly, then took a deep breath and continued.
"Further investigation shows Danzō was involved in many shady acts.
He conducted human experiments with Orochimaru and ordered assassinations of many Konoha ninja. Unfortunately, I failed to uncover his crimes.
Worse yet, he used my name for many of his actions. I deeply regret and take responsibility for this."
Yuhara listened quietly. He had to admit—the old man was slick.
He dumped all blame on Danzō, admitted his own failure, yet distanced himself from direct involvement.
At the same time, he avoided specifics.
No details on the human experiments, no names of the assassinated ninjas—just vague acknowledgments.
No one in the room was naive. And the one who looked like a naive kid—Yuhara—was the one they all knew to be the sharpest player here.
So the room stayed silent.
"That's why I need your help," Hiruzen finally said.
He looked around and threw out his real offer.
"Danzō led Root. His crimes are inexcusable. I hereby abolish Root—there will be no such department from now on.
Moreover, Danzō used my name to plant his forces in multiple departments—medical, mission, even education.
I ask you all to help investigate and root out his network. We must cleanse every corner of Konoha!"
At that, everyone who had been dissatisfied nodded in agreement.
Clearly, this was what they had been waiting to hear.
