Chapter 130 - Chapter 131 – Despair! Why Is He So Powerful!?

Among the group, only Silver Fox wore a look of deep concern.

She didn't particularly care whether Alex was the person Stryker had spoken of. All she knew was that this young man was about to face something extremely dangerous.

The people beside her were by no means saints.

But Silver Fox didn't dare openly warn Alex. She could only stand there, nervously watching from the sidelines, anxious but powerless.

That's... Silver Fox?

As Silver Fox studied Alex, he had also recognized her.

Without any change in his expression, he quietly withdrew his gaze.

In that instant, he'd already decided how to handle her.

Then, Alex shifted his attention to the group of mutants standing beside Silver Fox. A cold glint flashed across his face.

Zzzzt!

Without a word, his eyes turned crimson—and a beam of searing heat shot directly at the mutant with the massive, plane-shaped head standing at the front.

Stryker's orders to these mutants had already been fully revealed to Alex, thanks to his X-ray vision and super hearing.

So why waste time with talk?

Action was the only answer.

Planehead hadn't expected Alex to attack without even a greeting.

Especially not with heat vision—this wasn't just surprising; it completely shattered his expectations. He was totally caught off guard.

Out of reflex, he tried to dodge. But no matter how quick he was, could he really be faster than heat vision?

Zzzzt!

The blast struck Planehead squarely, sending him flying.

Boom!

His hulking body slammed into the wall and crashed heavily to the floor, motionless.

Looking over, one could see two scorched holes smoldering in his chest, faint wisps of smoke curling from the wounds.

"What the—!"

The bespectacled mutant, the Black mutant, and the short stocky mutant all turned pale in unison.

In that moment, any trace of disdain or doubt they had about Alex vanished completely.

"Cover me!"

The short mutant growled and charged straight at Alex.

The instant he moved, muscles across his body began to swell and contort.

Just like Bruce Banner transforming into the Hulk, within the blink of an eye he'd become a towering brute over eight feet tall—his arms thicker than a grown man's head, muscles knotted and surging like twisted ropes.

He radiated pure power.

Thud... Thud... Thud...

Even the ground seemed to quake beneath his heavy footsteps.

But unfortunately—

What others found terrifying, Alex saw as nothing more than flashy brute force.

Big frame, little threat. Without true power, all that bulk meant nothing.

Alex was just about to fire another pair of heat beams to end the fight quickly, when suddenly—the Black mutant beside the bespectacled one opened his mouth and let out a thunderous roar.

WOMMM!

A massive sonic blast erupted from his throat.

The soundwave was so powerful it instantly overturned everything in the corridor.

Even a car would've been flipped by that kind of force.

His ability was clearly similar to banshee's, but far more destructive—clearly, this guy was a seasoned warrior. It made sense Stryker had chosen him.

banshee, after all, was still just a fledgling.

WOMMM!

The shockwave slammed straight into Alex.

But the result?

Nothing.

Alex stood firm like an immovable mountain, completely unaffected by the sonic barrage.

He didn't even blink.

"What!?"

The Black mutant's face contorted in disbelief. How could that be!?

Zzzzt!

But it was already too late. Alex's gaze shifted away from the charging giant and locked onto the Black mutant instead.

A beam of heat shot out—slamming him to the ground.

Joining his fallen teammate, Planehead.

At that moment, the hulking, transformed mutant reached Alex.

He leapt into the air, swinging a massive fist the size of a pressure cooker down at Alex with a roar.

BOOM!

CRACK!

A heavy thud and the sickening sound of bones snapping echoed through the corridor.

Alex remained standing, unmoved. He had simply thrown a single punch.

But the towering "giant" was sent flying backward, crashing to the ground.

His massive frame rapidly shrank back to normal size.

He lay there, completely still.

---

The bespectacled mutant turned instinctively and saw that the short mutant's chest had caved in completely, like it had been crushed by a sledgehammer.

His ribs, his heart—everything had been shattered.

There was no surviving that.

"H-holy sh—!"

The bespectacled mutant sucked in a sharp breath, his whole body trembling.

His gaze at Alex now brimmed with pure terror.

What kind of monster is this?

This was horrifying.

How could someone this terrifying exist in the world?

Finally, the bespectacled mutant understood why Stryker had been so thoroughly rattled by this young man.

"Wait! Please, wait—"

His voice broke with fear. He was scared out of his wits—no longer daring to confront this monster.

He raised his hands, ready to beg for mercy.

BOOM!

But a sonic boom cut him off.

Before he could react, Alex was already in front of him.

With a single hand, he grabbed the mutant by the throat.

CRACK!

The next sound he heard was his own neck breaking.

Then his limp body dropped to the ground.

---

"What!?"

"This guy—!"

Watching through the surveillance feed, Stryker nearly bit his tongue from sheer shock. His face twisted in disbelief.

This man... is this really his true power?

It didn't make sense!

He hadn't seen clearly how Alex had taken down the regular soldiers earlier—moving at supersonic speed—but this time, he'd watched every moment of how Alex had slaughtered his elite mutants.

They were strong.

But in Alex's hands, they were like toddlers. Utterly helpless.

The gap in power was unfathomable.

Why?

Why was there such a massive difference between them, when they were all mutants?

Why was he... this powerful!?

Stryker roared silently in his heart.
