"Similar." Vaerik nodded. "But I have several improvement plans."
He took out a map, pointing to several tributaries, carefully choosing words to express his ideas:
"Those lower-terrain, slow-flowing river sections that freeze slowly can be prioritized.
First chisel ice holes, then use thick wooden boards and stones to reinforce edges, preventing collapse.
Then set nets underwater and use small fish and meat scraps as bait for fish aggregation, establish fishermen rotation posts, netting twice daily morning and evening.
Also dig drainage ditches, channel hot spring overflow or geothermal water through. Warm the water flow as much as possible—don't let fish freeze to death.
Of course these are just my ideas. Specific operations are yours—don't necessarily use my suggestions, just catch more fish."
