Emmiel
I couldn't believe what I'd just heard. Alpha Asai was the founder of the omega facility. This means, he knew me way long before I came into the Lopen's mansion. "How.."
"I know you have a lot of questions, Emmiel" Asai says, settling down beside me. "Kent, give us the room alone"
"Yes, alpha"
Kent drops the tray of food on the table as he takes his leave.
"I've always taken a keen interest in you, Emmiel" Asai begins. "You were a dominant omega. Your parents didn't want you so I bought you from them"
"At first, it was out of curiosity" Asai continues. "I wanted to know what made you different from the others. You were ostracised amongst the omegas at the facility so I thought you'd give a better shot outside the facilty wall so I started an omega bonding ceremony"
"The aim was to have you bonded to an alpha and give you a life outside the facilty walls but no one wanted you" He explained. "So, I took matters into my own hands; I stealthily made Lopen curious about you"
I knew it. Alpha Asai had a hand in Lopen choosing me at the bonding ceremony. It was all too good to be true in the first place.
"With you in the Lopen's mansion, I could keep watch over you even from a distance" He explains. "Does that answer all your questions?"
Not even close. To think that everything had happened because Asai had planned it to was scary.
"To some extent"
"Eat now. You need as much energy as possible for your child" Asai say, shoving the food tray onto my lap. "Then, I'll release my pheromones for—"
"No!" I blurt out, without thinking. Noting the look of shock plastered over Asai's face, I apologized. "I'm sorry if I sounded harsh"
Asai chuckled nervously. "You did catch me offguard"
"I'm just not used to another alpha's pheromones" I admit. "It makes me sick"
"I understand how you feel but you don't have a choice, Emmiel" Asai buttressed. "You need an alpha's pheromones to stabilise your baby's development"
I don't have a choice. I hated when Kent or Asai said that to me. I always had a choice. They are just the ones that made decisions in my stead without taking me into consideration.
I didn't want to get used to the scent of another alpha's pheromones that wasn't Lopen's.
"I'll make use of the stabilisers Kent brought for me" I respond.
"You still reject my offer to help" Asai says. "I thought I'd made it clear that you could ask me of anything"
"Thank you, Asai but I already feel like I'd asked a lot from you" I paused. "I'll figure out the rest myself"
"Fine. If you say so" Asai says, springing to his feet. "Eat now and do let me know if you need anything at all. I won't be here for long"
"Will do"
The moment Asai was out the door, I pulled out the omega stabilisers and took in a heavy whiff of it to curb the pain I'd been feeling all day along my lower abdomen.
"This is going to be more difficult than I'd thought" I commented. How long could I possibly go on without Lopen's pheromones?
I tried to get a shut eye but the pain persisted even more so I decided for walk down the hallway.
Asai and Kent were still up and appeared to be taking in hushed tone in the living room.
Just as I was about go pull away from their conversation, I overheard my name from Kent's mouth. "Are you sure Emmiel believes us?"
"He has no choice than to do so" Asai responded. "He is fully aware that he has no one else in this world that cares for him apart from us"
He continued. "It is better for him to believe that we'd been trying to protect him since he came into the facilty than for him to be told the truth that we'd planned getting him pregnant with Lopen's child, right?"
I threw my hands over my mouth to contain my shock lest they find out that I was overhearing their conversation.
Asai paused. "We need that child, Kent. That is the future heir carrying Lopen's bloodline. Imagine how much we'd rake from him. No matter what, we need to make Emmiel believe us at all cost so he can deliver that child safely. You got that?"
Kent nods, obediently. "Understood, Alpha"
"And if things were to go south, we move to plan B"
Kent's eyes widened on horror. "There's no need to do that"
"Then make sure that omega of yours dances to our tune" Asai spits out. "He already annoyed me by refusing to share my pheromones. Let's see how long he would last though"
Kent throws himself at Asai's feet. "I'll talk to him and get him to be more open. Please, give him some time merciful Alpha"
Asai springs up from the couch as he places his feet against Kent's back and dusts his shoe. "I see you've really taken a liking to that child, Kent. I feel sorry for you"
He paused. "Get him in accordance then or else i won't guarantee his safety anymore. I'll be taking my leave now"
Quickly, I hid out of eyesight to avoid getting seen by Asai or Kent. When they were both gone, I moved back to my room; trying to wrap my head over what I'd just heard.
Plan B. What was plan B?. I didn't even know where I was so couldn't plan an escape. All I could do was stay in this safe shed and play by their tune until my child was born.
My child was mine. No way was I letting anyone lay their hands on him.
Even the two persons I thought I could trust were worse than Lopen. I guess I had to survive on my own and come up with my own plan.
