Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: The Tide of Battle Turns

"Ahhh!" The Herrscher of Wind let out a wretched howl as the terrifying lightning continued to disintegrate its body.

"What a nuisance," Celine frowned slightly. Reaching her hand forward, she pierced through layers of space and pulled the Herrscher of Wind out of the lightning.

"Be careful! That guy is really strong," the Herrscher of Wind said with a trembling voice. That thunder wasn't just ordinary lightning—otherwise, how could it have destroyed his body like that? Glancing at his severed arm, he stared furiously at Garp in the distance.

"Escaped, huh? Was it that Celine brat?" Garp muttered, a hint of disappointment in his tone. He hadn't managed to finish off the Herrscher of Wind, and he sure didn't want Edward to win this. Losing the crystal was one thing—losing face was another.

"Celine's mine!" Kiana didn't wait for the others to react. She launched herself straight toward Celine.

"So you've mastered the power of the Herrscher of the Void too, haven't you?" Celine calmly blocked Kiana's spear of subspace, showing no surprise at all.

"I don't need you to tell me that!" Kiana blinked behind Celine and forcefully pulled her away, taking her far from the battlefield.

"That Kiana—acting on her own again," Theresa said through gritted teeth. "Just wait till she gets back. I'll make sure she learns her lesson!"

"Let her handle it," Rimuru said with a smile. "After all, this is her own battle."

"That's true. Alright then—let's handle our part too. Can't let that stupid bug win first!" Whitebeard laughed, then leaped into the fray, charging toward the opposing Herrschers.

The others quickly followed, rushing into battle.

The war was about to explode.

"I heard you're also a Herrscher of Reason," the Herrscher of Reason sneered, standing before Bronya. "I wonder—if I rip out your Herrscher core, will I become even stronger? I'm really looking forward to it."

Bronya stared at the person in front of her, feeling an immense pressure—but only for a moment. She quickly steadied herself. All the days of harsh training weren't for nothing.

"Floating Cannons!" The enemy Herrscher was the first to attack, instantly summoning dozens of floating cannons that rained down destruction toward Bronya.

Behind her, the Heavy Bunny immediately deployed a defensive shield, blocking the entire volley.

But when the smoke cleared, the Herrscher of Reason had disappeared—and in their place stood a terrifying mech, dozens of meters tall.

"How do you like it? This is the ultimate weapon I created by combining every era's technology. Tremble before its might!" The Herrscher's maniacal laughter echoed from within the mech, followed by an apocalyptic bombardment.

"I'm not that easy to crush!" Battle spirit ignited in Bronya's eyes. She summoned a variety of weapons and launched herself into a fierce battle.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, the Herrscher of Death—representing both creation and decay—had originally planned to harvest the lives of the Valkyries. But Kallen stepped in to block the way, with Yae Sakura and Otto at her side.

"This is the end of the road, Herrscher of Death," Kallen said cautiously, twin pistols raised, ready to strike at any moment.

"Kallen Kaslana? I didn't expect you to return to this world… That guy really is impressive," the Herrscher of Death remarked, seeing the trio and realizing there was no way forward. "Since you won't let me pass, I'll just reap your lives first!"

"Then come try it—Holy Lance!" Kallen was the first to attack, firing a shot at her enemy.

"Withering Claw." The Herrscher of Death's arms turned into blade-like appendages, slashing out several deadly Honkai blades that sliced the bullet clean in half and continued toward the three.

"Leave it to me." Yae Sakura unsheathed her Spirit Blade and leapt forward.

"Sakura Fall!"

Sakura's rapid sword strikes shattered the incoming energy.

"Don't forget about me," Otto chuckled lightly. A golden hexahedron appeared in his hand—the First Divine Key, Void Archives, capable of replicating any weapon or tool the user understands. It held nearly infinite knowledge within.

Void Archives shifted rapidly. In less than a second, a replica of Judgment of Shamash appeared in Otto's hand.

It unleashed a hail of bullets, several of which struck the Herrscher of Death directly.

But none of them relaxed. Though not the strongest Herrscher, the Herrscher of Death was notoriously hard to kill. Wounds of that level would heal in less than a second. After all, creation was also part of his power.

Sure enough, the Herrscher of Death barely flinched. In seconds, his wounds vanished completely.

"Two Divine Keys? You're really going all out," he said darkly.

"You're hard to kill. Isn't it only natural to be well prepared?" Otto said with a smile, completely unapologetic.

The Herrscher of Death realized he was in trouble. The Erosion Key—Sakura's Spirit Blade—could gradually weaken him with repeated strikes. Meanwhile, Void Archives could endlessly produce new weapons to interfere. With Kallen assisting from the side, he might not hold out much longer.

"Damn humans!" he cursed through gritted teeth and charged in anyway. All he could hope for now was that someone else would win their battle quickly and come help him.

If Kallen knew what he was thinking, she'd probably pity him and say, "Your comrades can't even protect themselves—what makes you think they'll come save you?"

Not far away, a battered figure tore through thousands of meters of imaginary space, crashing into the ground with a massive crater.

"Damn it!" the Herrscher of Earth cursed helplessly. His body was covered in cracks, energy leaking out from every part.

It was obvious he'd taken serious damage.

"What, is this all the Herrscher of Earth has to offer? What a disappointment," Whitebeard said, walking over with his massive blade in hand. He looked down at the fallen figure and scoffed. He'd expected someone much stronger—this guy couldn't even last ten minutes.

"What the hell are you? A monster?" The Herrscher of Earth stared at Whitebeard, an emotion he hadn't felt in ages beginning to surface: fear.

This monster of a man—what on earth was his body made of? Even under his gravity field, intensified thousands of times, Whitebeard moved as if nothing had changed. The pseudo-black hole he'd painstakingly created? Obliterated in one punch. Was this guy running on some invincibility cheat code? How much did he pay for it? I'll pay double.

The Herrscher of Earth felt utterly humiliated. His powers should've been enough to destroy civilizations, yet he was helpless against this one man—blasted away again and again.

"Kid, if this is the extent of your strength, then this fight's about to end," Whitebeard said coldly, narrowing his eyes.

"Don't look down on me, damn it! If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me!" The Herrscher of Earth's face twisted with madness as he charged Whitebeard, determined to drag him into the abyss.
