Chapter 63 - Ch-63 "The Wrath of the Dragon King"

The scene shifts to the vast, mountainous kingdom of the Dragonoids — an ancient race born of both dragon and man, their capital built upon the great floating cliffs of Aetheris Peak. At the heart of this soaring domain stood the palace of the Dragon King himself. Towering spires made of crystalized obsidian reached for the skies, and flames of a deep azure danced endlessly atop braziers scattered across the colossal halls.

Inside the grand chamber, the Dragon King, a colossal dragonoid adorned in golden-scaled armor and a crown forged from the bones of ancient sky serpents, sat upon his throne. His blazing crimson eyes reflected both wisdom and fury as his subordinates entered hastily.

The soldiers, faces pale and voices trembling, kneeled before him."My Lord… terrible news. The two dragons we sent as emissaries to South Ryehem… have been slain."

The words hung heavy in the air, and for a moment, time itself seemed to still.

The Dragon King's expression twisted with unrestrained rage, and the chamber trembled under the force of his aura. He slammed his clawed fist onto the armrest of his throne, sending cracks splintering across the obsidian floor."WHAT?!" his voice roared like a storm. "HOW DARE THEY BREAK THE SACRED AGREEMENT?!"

The soldiers flinched under the sheer weight of his fury."Summon their god—summon Julius at once!" the Dragon King commanded, his tone an undeniable decree that rattled through the very walls of the palace.

Without wasting a moment, his subordinates bowed and rushed out of the chamber, spreading the order like wildfire through the kingdom. The Dragon King's wrath had been awakened — and the Dragonoids would answer it.

Outside, chaos rippled through the streets of the Dragon Kingdom. Dragonoids flew across the skies, their wings slicing through the thick clouds. Citizens watched with fear in their eyes as the royal forces mobilized. The palace horns blared an ancient war call, a sound not heard for decades.

Within moments, squadrons of dragonoid warriors, accompanied by high-ranking commanders, took to the skies, making their way towards the celestial court of God Julius.

From his celestial domain, Julius, the divine protector of South Ryehem, sensed their arrival long before they reached his court. Standing at the edge of his throne room, the god's gaze pierced the heavens, a knowing smile tugging at his lips."So, it begins."

Beside him, the court's angels gathered swiftly, shimmering forms of radiant light standing ready to counter the overwhelming draconic presence surging toward them.

The skies above the celestial court darkened as the dragons arrived, their wings blotting out the stars, their presence heavy and suffocating. The lead squadron descended into the divine grounds, their armored forms radiating power and fury.

The Dragon King himself followed moments later, his form larger and more fearsome than any of his kin. The ground trembled as he landed before the divine court of Julius.

Julius remained seated on his celestial throne, calm and composed, his divine aura gently weaving through the air. His voice was steady as he spoke."What has brought the dragons to my court in such rage?"

The gathered angels summoned their divine halos and staves, nullifying the overwhelming draconic pressure that threatened to unsettle the heavenly domain.

The Dragon King stepped forward, his eyes burning with unrestrained wrath."You wish to know what happened, Julius?" he growled, his voice rumbling like distant thunder. "Your Empress dared to slaughter two of my kin — emissaries sent under sacred treaty! This is an unforgivable insult, and a direct violation of the ancient accord between our realms!"

The tension within the court was suffocating, divine and draconic powers clashing in invisible waves. The celestial court awaited Julius's response.

Julius's gaze, calm and unreadable, rested upon the Dragon King. A flicker of something unreadable passed through his expression — not fear, nor guilt, but the faintest hint of amusement.

"And yet you've flown here in wrath, forgetting the very customs you defend," Julius replied smoothly. "Let us speak of this breach, Dragon King… carefully."

The scene hung in tense silence, as the fate of peace between gods and dragons trembled on the edge of a knife.
