186. Chapter 186: Died Before Even Starting!

"So, you guys were behind the Homelander incident. I was wondering how those softies at the FBI suddenly grew some guts and dared to go directly after Homelander. Turns out I overestimated them."

Billy smiled. No matter who it was, anyone who dared to mess with Homelander was a good friend of Billy Butcher, and the President of the Church of the Collective before him was no exception.

"They wouldn't dare touch Homelander's business, but we do."

Alastair interlaced his fingers, crossed his legs, and leaned back in his chair.

"In that case, I'd like to discuss a deal with you too," Billy said with a slight smile.

"You want to negotiate with me? That depends on your price. However, as far as I know, your bank accounts have been frozen by the authorities. I doubt you can even scrape together a thousand US Dollars."

Alastair was surprised that Billy, a Wanted Criminal, would want to negotiate with him. He said with a look of disdain.

Billy calmly put down his knife and fork. Since it was a negotiation, he needed to adopt the proper stance.

"You want to rescue those mentally ill patients, but when things blow up, we'll be the ones taking the blame. Besides, we don't need your help at all. It's just a psychiatric hospital. No matter how tight the security, we have ways to get in. As for Homelander's public opinion problems, I doubt they'll last long. With Vought's PR capabilities, I'm sure they can settle it quickly.

You must have heard of Mr. Jervis. Since he took office, he's handled a lot of public opinion pressure. This black person incident, while it had a significant impact, I believe it shouldn't be a problem for him. We can make a bet if you don't believe me."

Billy's words caused Alastair's confident expression to gradually darken.

He said in a deep voice, "That's because you haven't seen the methods of the Church of the Collective. Do you believe that if I give the word, tomorrow morning there will be over ten Black people committing suicide outside Vought Tower? By then, that so-called Mr. Jervis, no matter what heaven-defying methods he has, will have to obediently bow his head and admit his mistake before the Church of the Collective."

"Is that so?" Billy sneered.

Frankly, the other party simply didn't have the courage to truly enrage Vought International. Otherwise, the person sitting across from him negotiating wouldn't be himself, but the Vought President or Vice President Mr. Jervis.

"What if I win the bet?" The smile on Alastair's face had completely vanished. He was like an enraged vulture, trying to hide the weakness in his heart with a fierce gaze.

"If you win, my Organization and I will do one thing for you free of charge. Whether it's kidnapping the Vought President or publicly attacking Homelander, it's no problem. But if you lose, you have to do me a small favor."

"A small favor? Tell me about it."

"Help me get someone out of the Vought Secret Base, but you have to guarantee her safety."

"God, I think you must be crazy. You're asking me to rescue someone from the Vought Secret Base? Impossible, change the condition." Alastair said, somewhat exasperated.

Billy shrugged, "If you don't dare to bet, then forget it. I figured you wouldn't have the courage to resist Vought."

Although his provocation was extremely obvious, it worked very well on Alastair.

Alastair, who had just been frustrated by Xia Shang, stood up and looked coldly at Billy, "God said I will definitely win. I accept this bet. My people will act with you later. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll be leaving first."

With that, he left the Restaurant with a gloomy complexion.

After he left, a team of well-equipped church members came out of a nearby Room, laughing and joking.

"Hey buddy, you look pretty good." One thin man with yellow dyed hair couldn't help but reach out and touch Billy's chest while licking his lips.

"Don't make me shoot you."

Billy pulled out the pistol from his waist, stood up, and said in a deep voice, pointing it at the man's head.

The man's eyes were sunken and dark, looking exactly like the Addicts on the Philadelphia Street. Looking at the dark gun muzzle, he raised his hands dramatically, "Little pepper, I didn't touch you. If you can't handle it, I can apologize." "Alright, Bomber, put away your disgusting habit."

There were five church members in total, four men and one woman. The one who just spoke seemed like the Leader.

Indeed, when he spoke again, it confirmed this.

"My name is Frede, you can also call me Slime. As the Leader, I need to introduce you to my team members. The one with yellow hair is called Bomber, this burly man covered in chest hair is called Cat Man, as for this guy who looks neither male nor female... uh, we usually call him Hormone, he's Bomber's good buddy. And the remaining beauty with bangs... uh, we usually call her Heroine."

Slime's appearance was quite handsome, fitting certain features of British aristocrats. After introducing the four people one by one, he asked Billy when they would start the operation.

"Tonight."

If possible, Billy didn't want these guys who looked like third-rate types to participate in the operation.

"Hurry up, I have a party to attend." Bomber picked his nose, then put the little snack he picked out into his mouth, and even made an expression of enjoyment. The scene was truly eye-watering.

"Fuck you!" Billy cursed in a low voice.

...

Soon, Starlight and the others, under the cover of night, arrived at the perimeter of the psychiatric hospital. The outside was covered with a high-voltage electric fence, and the only entrance and exit were guarded by Vought's armed guards. The security looked extremely tight. Breaking in from the front would definitely alert Vought Headquarters.

They didn't have much time left. They had to figure out the details of Sage Grove before Homelander arrived.

"Billy sent me a text message ten minutes ago saying he'd be here any minute. Where is he?" Frenchie held his phone and looked around.

Then, they saw a black van driving towards them.

"These are the helpers you called?"

Billy was pulled aside by Hughie as soon as he got out of the van.

Hughie glanced at the church team, who clearly looked unreliable, and questioned in a low voice.

"With them here, when we escape later, we just need to run faster than them." Billy smiled with ill intent, then he turned his head and shouted to Slime, "Have your people open the wire net. Don't tell me you can't even do that."

Upon hearing this, Slime nodded to signal Cat Man.

"Just a wire net." Cat Man was only wearing a bulletproof vest, and his chest hair made him look like he had stuffed a sweater inside.

He confidently walked up to the high-voltage electric fence, licked his newly grown sharp claws, and then swung down towards the wire net. After a burst of electric light crackled and flashed, an opening was cut. After cutting out a large hole, Cat Man couldn't help but strike a pose to show off to Billy and the others.

However, when he raised both arms, he accidentally touched the electric fence.

Countless high-voltage electric arcs instantly enveloped him, and then he trembled as if having an epileptic seizure. Hughie was about to walk over to check the situation, but unexpectedly, the burly man who was just full of life spat out black smoke from his mouth and fell headfirst in front of him.

His skin was already charred black from the electricity, probably cooked through. Unless God performs a miracle, it would be very difficult for him to stand up again.

"Clearly, Alastair hasn't cured his mental illness."

Billy quipped.
