Chapter 187 - Chapter 187: The Most Disturbing Episode

Chapter 187: The Most Disturbing Episode

After speaking, he stepped on Cat Man's corpse and slipped into the Mental Hospital. The others followed suit.

"Useless," Slime spat a glob of extremely viscous saliva onto Cat Man's head.

Afterwards, Billy and the others crept to the side of the Mental Hospital's wall. Although it was late at night, the Mental Hospital was still brightly lit. He jumped hard, reached out, and pulled himself up to the window ledge to look into the Corridor. Seeing no one passing by, Billy decisively pushed open the window and climbed over the sill into the Corridor.

"Wait for me," Hughie called out. His strength wasn't as great as Billy's, nor were his movements as agile, and it took him several tries to succeed.

"Put these clothes on," Billy said, taking out several sets of clothes from a nearby Room and throwing them to Hughie and the others.

After putting on the clothes, they had Frenchie pretend to be a patient, lie on a hospital bed, and cover himself with a sheet.

"Follow me," Mother's Milk said. He had worked as an orderly before and was quite familiar with the Hospital's environment and layout. They split into two groups. Slime led his subordinates towards the Hospital Rooms. Bomber was seen picking something small out of his nostril and stuffing it into a keyhole, then declaring, "Art is an explosion."

With a muffled bang, the door was blown open. The Supe Patient inside hadn't even reacted before Slime, standing behind Bomber, shot him down with a gun. To be safe, he fired several more shots.

Their guns were loaded with special tranquilizer darts with very strong efficacy. The patient who was hit fainted as soon as they tried to make a sound.

"Next one."

While they were working in full swing, Billy and the others on the other side quickened their steps.

"Those guys are absolute lunatics," Hughie said with a worried expression after hearing the sound of the explosion. "If you ask me, they're the ones who should be locked up in a Mental Hospital." He was afraid that those lunatics would attract the Guards' attention.

"If they keep going like this, we'll be discovered sooner or later."

Fortunately, Mother's Milk was reliable enough. Before long, he found the Hospital's Central Control Room. Sitting in the Control Room was a white Guard, who was dozing off in front of the monitor.

"Open the door quickly!" Mother's Milk yelled, banging on the Iron Door. "A patient is having an episode! He's trying to cut off his thing and stuff it into his mouth!"

He woke up the groggy Guard. The Guard saw them pushing a patient to the door, took out a large bunch of keys, and opened the door.

However, the moment the door was opened, Mother's Milk immediately rushed in. Meanwhile, Frenchie, who was lying on the hospital bed, pulled out a pistol equipped with a silencer, fired several shots, and instantly shot the Guard dead. After killing the Guard, he immediately flipped off the bed. As Billy closed the door, he removed the monitor above the door frame.

Inside the Room, one wall was fitted with over a dozen monitors. Each monitor corresponded to a Hospital Room. The patients on the monitors were all unusual. One person had infinite strength and was furiously smashing the wall with his fists. The walls in his Hospital Room were covered in dents from the smashing, which was truly shocking.

Besides him, some patients were constantly spitting acidic liquid into the iron basin in their hands. Some patients' bodies were floating in mid-air, and some could even make objects float. Their abilities varied, and there were quite a few individuals with astonishing power among them.

"Holy shit, that guy's cock is huge," Mother's Milk exclaimed, seeing that one patient's pants were completely stuffed.

"Did he attach an elephant's thing to himself?" Frenchie exclaimed.

"Wait, is she looking at us?" Starlight, whose face was covered with a scarf, said, pointing at Cindy on one of the screens.

Billy ignored Starlight and said in a deep voice, "Did Vought create them? What exactly does Vought want to do? Rule humanity with Compound V?"

Just then, the sharp-eyed Frenchie spotted a familiar figure. "I think I've seen this person before."

"You've seen plenty of people. It's probably just your hallucinations," Billy said, pulling out the USB drive and plugging it into the computer, preparing to copy Vought's incriminating evidence. At this exact moment, Slime and his group arrived at Lamplighter's Room. The moment the door lock was blown open, Lamplighter took out the lighter from his pocket. After flipping open the lid, he slapped the flame with his palm.

His palm strike was like adding a large amount of gasoline to the flame. The flames instantly expanded thousands of times, spewing out tongues of flame like a flamethrower.

The Iron Door in front of the raging fire melted at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The panicked Frede was seen spraying out a large amount of Slime, directly covering the Iron Door with it.

Seeing that the Slime couldn't block the flames, Frede immediately roared at Bomber: "Quick! Blow him up!"

Bomber didn't hesitate either, but turned his head to look at Heroine.

As Heroine frowned, an urge to defecate, like a surging tide, churned in Bomber's stomach. Bomber reached his hand behind him, pulled out a large lump of brown matter, and threw it towards the Iron Door. Immediately followed by a loud bang, the impact caused by the explosion instantly knocked Lamplighter to the ground.

At this moment, everyone in front of the monitors said in unison: "Holy shit!"

"I'd rather be burned to death than be hit by his thing," Hughie said, feeling a bit nauseated.

However, Frenchie's attention wasn't on Bomber. He stared intently at the man on the screen, excitedly shouting: "Lamplighter! That damn Lamplighter! He wasn't wearing his mask just now, I didn't recognize him!"

Having recognized Lamplighter, who burned Mallory's grandson to death, the furious Frenchie immediately grabbed his pistol on the spot, wanting to fight Lamplighter to the death. But Billy stopped him.

"Don't forget our purpose for coming here," Billy said. "The moment we get the information, we withdraw!"

Meanwhile.

In another Hospital Room, Cindy walked up to the Iron Door. She didn't seem to do anything, yet the Iron Door began to twist and deform. Then, with a bang, it flew outwards. Expressionless, she walked towards the source of the sound of the explosion. Wherever she passed, whether it was the walls or the ground, they all cracked open with cracks like spider webs.

Bang! Bang bang!! Iron Doors were violently torn open one after another.

"Damn it, she's approaching us," Mother's Milk said. The sense of oppression Cindy gave him was not inferior to Homelander's. He immediately chambered a bullet, then urged Billy to copy faster.

"Panicking won't help," Billy replied. "The data is too large. It'll take at least five more minutes."

"Shit!"

Seeing the Iron Door begin to tremble, Mother's Milk and Frenchie exchanged a glance. They decisively opened the Iron Door, picked up their pistols, and shot at Cindy. Because they appeared too suddenly, Cindy didn't have time to dodge the bullets. Her head and chest were both hit by bullets. But before Mother's Milk and Frenchie could rejoice,

they found that the Woman's steps still hadn't stopped.

"Damn it! She's like Homelander! Bullets can't penetrate her defense at all."

As Cindy raised her right hand, Frenchie felt an invisible force restrain his head. Almost instantly, his eyeballs were filled with bloodshot veins, and crimson blood flowed down his nostrils to his chin. "Ah... ah..."

Now, Frenchie could only make a difficult sound, calling for help from the others beside him.
