The store was empty. Midnight had passed. The world outside was still, save for the quiet hum of the city. Jungkook wiped down the same counter for the fifth time, biting his lip to stay awake.
Rain slid down the windows in silent streaks, and the dull light above flickered.
He yawned, stretching his arms—just as the bell above the door rang.
Jungkook flinched.
A man entered. Tall. Dressed in black from head to toe. Leather gloves. A hood shadowing most of his face.
Jungkook's heart skipped.
There was something off about the air.
"Hello…" he said softly. "Welcome to—"
"Lock the door."
Jungkook froze.
"W-What?"
The man pulled out a gun—not pointed, just shown. "I said… lock the door, bunny."
Bunny.
Jungkook's eyes widened.
Hands trembling, he moved to the door and clicked the lock shut.
"Good boy," came the deep, smooth voice.
Taehyung stepped closer. His hood slipped back just enough for the flickering light to catch his features.
Jungkook stared.
He had never seen someone so beautiful.
So terrifying.
So… familiar?
"W-What do you want?" he whispered.
Taehyung tilted his head.
"I came for the cash," he said. "But it seems… I found something more valuable."
He stepped forward, eyes locking onto the trembling boy behind the counter.
"You have pretty eyes, bunny."
Jungkook's heart pounded.
