Chapter 31
In the teacher's hall, everyone was staring at the large screen in front of them.
The big screen was divided into several parts, and in each section, there was an image of a group of students during the test.
The teachers were enthusiastically discussing the students' selection and their battlefield skills.
"Did you see the Duke's daughter, Elena?"
"Yes, I think her sword control is very good, along with her graceful movements."
"Do you think this year will pass peacefully, especially with such an important figure?"
"Yes, I believe she'll enter Class S, but I also see some other interesting characters."
"Does anyone know who that blonde-haired girl is?"
A teacher looked at the list of names before nodding his head.
"Yes, she's very skilled with dual swords, and next to her is the purple-haired witch. Does anyone know her?"
"You really don't know that girl?"
"….."
"You fool, she's the daughter of one of the biggest merchants in the entire city."
"….."
"Let's just say she's from the Antoinette family."
The atmosphere filled with surprise before the teachers began arguing.
"Are you saying the daughter of the Antoinette family applied for the test?"
"A duke's daughter and the daughter of the Antoinette family… I believe this year might be the best in the Academy's history."
"Look, there's another notable figure here."
Everyone turned to a screen full of blood before the person behind it appeared.
"Helen... the Count's daughter."
A girl with red hair and red eyes appeared, with a beautiful body.
Despite her behavior and bad reputation, she was considered one of the greatest geniuses on the continent.
Still, her arrogance was so great that it could reach the sky.
Just imagine having the opportunity to teach such geniuses—
Your fame would skyrocket just by being associated with one of them.
All the teachers looked at each other.
"I have a proposal."
All eyes turned toward a female teacher with green hair and black eyes before she spoke.
"What do you think about me taking responsibility for Class S?"
"Heh..."
A brown-haired teacher laughed before saying:
"You women are too harsh. I'd rather take charge of the class."
"No..."
"I want to be in charge of the class."
"I think I should be in charge of the class—better than all of you."
The loud shouting continued to rise until a sharp voice rang out:
"Silence."
All the voices and shouting immediately stopped with that single word.
Everyone shut their mouths upon hearing that voice.
Of course, the owner of the voice was the Academy Director.
It would be foolish to say a single word in her presence.
"The teacher in charge of Class S will be chosen by me, and I won't accept any objections."
"Secondly, can't you see I'm watching the contestants? I don't want to hear a single sound."
(If I hear a sound, you're dead.)
That was the real meaning behind her words.
Everyone's attention returned to the screen.
When the Director turned her head, she saw her shadow staring at a particular screen in silence.
Even while the teachers fought over Class S, she continued staring at the screen without caring about what was around her.
"May I know what could possibly capture your attention to such a degree—
Especially when you normally don't care about anything?"
The shadow nodded before pointing toward a specific screen.
She looked at the screen and saw a boy with black hair and red eyes.
His beauty was unreal, even for her, but there was something extremely intriguing about him.
A suffocating aura, maybe still in its early stages, but incredibly dangerous.
As if it were warning you: Don't come near.
In the two centuries she had lived, she had never seen someone with such a powerful aura.
She kept staring at this creature before smiling.
"Looks like I found something... interesting."
The boy on the screen looked pitiful.
Although he was broken all over, the sharp gaze in his eyes never faded.
Even though she had placed a monster like the Mad George inside the test, she still had full control over him.
There was a long thread coming from her finger.
That thread controlled all the monsters inside the test.
Suddenly...
The thread connecting her to Mad George disappeared.
[Error]
[Error]
"My lady, there's an error in the consciousness transfer of one of the students!"
The screen turned red before a line appeared on the giant monitor.
She looked at all the blue magic circles to find one red circle.
The same boy fighting Mad George.
"Take care of the students' circles. I'll go check the error."
Damn it... Why is this boy's luck so horrible?
Of all the examinees, he had to face Mad George—
And now the teleportation circle malfunctions?
"I need to hurry!"
To be continued...
