Silas went rigid.
The next second, his cheeks stretched into a knowing smile as he chortled in agreement.
"You caught me. I didn't want to stress Miss Simmons, so I figured why not meet with the car salesperson and see what they have first before going in tomorrow?"
"I really thought I could sneak around while keeping my little secret away. How silly of me."
The lady he was with got the hint the moment she heard Ayla call Silas 'honey'. Hence, she beamed and shook Ayla's hand politely.
"Your husband has good taste in cars. I even tried to hide our secret, expensive collections from him, but he still insisted on seeing them. When I refused, he brought me here to convince me to change my mind."
The smile didn't leave Ayla's face as she retracted her hand from the handshake and glanced around.
"That doesn't surprise me one bit. My husband is just like that. Since you're already here, why don't I help you shop around for better clothes?"
