Micheal, an 18yr old skinny nerd had always dreamt of having super powers to call his, in this new age and era where most of the population of the Earth had super powers. It was rumoured that exactly eighty percent of the population had powers, but Micheal was one of the unlucky ones, also known as the commoners. He wasn't like other the rest of the eighty percent...the supes.
Born without powers he was treated as trash in the world to those who had powers, and what made things worse was the fact that he was an orphan, no one to go to or run bwto after what he experienced everyday in schools, although he still went to a good school, due to the government making it compulsory for both 'the supes' and the 'commoners' he still felt alone, he never really associated with anyone regardless of whether they had powers or not.
Like a a very good super hero once said ' with great powers, comes great responsibilitys ' spider man had always been his role model from the start although they're where some heroes who were much more powerful than him, take for instance super man, he still worshipped him.
And in this kind of world....where super heroes are the norm most of them also choose to become celebrities, and the truly powerful ones becoming instant celebrities because of their amazing powers
But of course, 'with great powers comes great responsibilitys ' but some people never used that power for good or responsibly, once they awakend, they let greed get into their head and they start to want people to worship them like gods
But of course that wasn't his concern as he never see a real life villain since he failed his awakening
Currently Micheal was in his special apartment, as a final year student at the Winston heroes and commoners academia (WHCA) he was busy with a special assignment when he heard a knock on his door " yeah..uhm, I'm coming " he said as he quickly rushed to check who at the door
And the person he saw left him surprised as it was his family lawyer, Mr corvis " how you doing there chap " he asked as stared right into my eyes holding a package that was giving a Sense of mystery to me.
" Well...I'm doing alright if I'll say so " I chuckled as I tried to make the environment friendly, I looked at the package and continued " is that for me " I asked clearly puzzled on why Mr corvis was here with a mysterious package.
" Yeah " he quickly replied, and the next word I heard from his mouth stunned me " it's your inheritance " " my what now ?" I asked puzzled as I thought I had received everything all those years ago
" Your inheritance Micheal " he chuckled as he looked at my stunned expression
I was really surprised.... because in this world, as long as your the deceased blood relative or next of kin, you'll receive the inheritance immediately regardless of the age
" Oo..Kay ?. What is it ? What am I receiving this time " Micheal asked with a tone of both curiosity and eagerness.
" To be honest, I don't know. This box has been sealed for a long time, and I was supposed to give it to you once you turned eighteen, which was month ago " he iterated with a smile, "well.....can I have it ? " I quickly replied as I wanted to see what my parents left for me.
" Sure,but quickly sign this, so it'll be noted that you took the package, Micheal " he said while handing me a document that had places to sign, Micheal then quickly signed it
" Thank....you, here you go " he said collecting the documents while handing me the package, I could feel it was light " I guess I'll see you around there Micheal " he said with a slight grin while heading for the stairs that led to the building.
" Yeah, same....it was nice seeing you again " said Micheal while closing the door with a complicated expression " now what could be in here " he asked himself while settling into his chair, " well, I guess I better open it up " he said as he tore the tap on it and opened the package
And what was inside truly shocked him, it was a note....from his parents with a liquid like substance under it
The note read " Micheal if you're seeing this, it can only mean one thing.....and that is me and your mother are dead, we truly wished to tell you more of your origin of everything and most importantly while you'll fail to awaken " Michael was shocked when he read the last five words or so...." How did they know I won't awaken, this is more complicated than I thought " he said with an evident frown on his face, but he continued with the letter
There's still a way you can AWAKEN but it'll require you to take what's in the package, what is in the package is a product of your mother's and my own hardwork through our year... there's much I don't want to explain or go into because of delicate the matter is, but know you can trust.....yours truly Dad.
The letter letter ended with him having a hesitant expression " there's still a way for me to awaken ?...but how " he asked with puzzled expression
" I guess I'll just have to trust them " he said picking up the liquid. It looked like it was alive " here it goes " he said in a hesitant tone as he slowly picked up the liquid, opened it and drank it.
Almost immediately he felt a pang of pain and warmth enter body and before he knew it he was loosing consciousness, but before he could loose his consciousness...he suddenly heard a sound in his head
Ding !!!

And then everything went.....black.
