Episode 14: Memory Code Breaker

---

Jax knelt in the ruins of the arena, trembling.

Not from fear—but from something deeper.

A war within.

The Omega Seed pulsed in his veins, screaming for control, whispering promises of invincibility, of freedom through destruction.

But in front of him stood Alira.

Her eyes shimmered with the past.

> "Do you remember what they did to us, Jax?"

He didn't. Not fully. But her voice cracked the ice around his mind.

Zarak-13's massive frame groaned as it retracted its cannons. Smoke leaked from its chest—Jax's earlier strike had crippled the core. But it wasn't done.

> "Emotional interference detected," the machine hissed.

"Target's resolve weakening. Initiate Memory Wipe Protocol."

A flash of red light burst from Zarak's forehead—aimed directly at Jax.

Alira leapt into the beam.

> "NO—!"

Time slowed.

Her body convulsed mid-air, bathed in searing red code. Her scream wasn't just pain—it was unlocking.

Jax watched helplessly as her body hit the ground, twitching… glowing.

> "Alira?" he whispered.

But something else answered.

A whisper in the static.

A memory fragment.

[7 years ago – The Lab]

They were strapped to opposite walls in a dark, frozen lab.

Needles in their spines.

Their screams echoing through sterile silence.

> "She's bonded too strongly," a voice had said.

"Sever the link before he remembers—"

Jax, weak, had managed to whisper:

> "Don't touch her…"

Then—darkness.

---

Back in the present, Jax roared.

The glyph on his back erupted in wild arcs of light.

He remembered her now.

The girl who used to hum to him when the pain was too much.

The one who pulled out her own tracker so he could escape first.

The one they said died.

But she had survived.

And now she was changing.

Alira rose from the ground slowly—eyes glowing with pure Omega code.

Her voice echoed like layered static:

> "They didn't erase me, Jax. They uploaded me."

Jax took a step back.

> "Alira… what did they turn you into?"

> "The failsafe," she replied.

Then she turned toward Zarak-13 and raised one trembling hand.

> "Override code: Heartlink_Alpha_013."

Zarak-13 froze.

Glitched.

Screamed.

> "No—unit conflict—memory loop breach—access denied—!"

Alira looked over her shoulder at Jax. Her voice wavered with tears.

> "I didn't come back just to save you, Jax. I came back… to burn this system down."

Zarak-13 exploded into a thousand shards of flame and twisted metal.

Jax shielded his face.

When the smoke cleared, Alira stood there… barely breathing.

He rushed forward and caught her before she collapsed.

> "We're just getting started," she whispered.

> "You're not alone anymore."
