"Hmmm…" Kishio muttered underneath his breath on seeing, and hearing the words spoken by the leader of the seven.
"We've got you surrounded, obey the orders if you want to leave with your life." Salas the other D rank that had been speaking with the leader–Reiner said again.
Kishio turned to look at the two who had spoken so far, obviously the other five were just following their commands. His gaze, aura and even just his movement made some of them shudder.
His face was smeared in the blood of beasts, his hair a bit discolored by the blood stain, and the worst part was his look–he didn't appear traumatized or frozen in shock. No!
The way he looked at them, like they were cattles, beasts, like a lazy shepherd watching his flock of beasts get into trouble, too lazy to rescue it, if there was no way out…he would just slaughter.
'Members of a different guild. Or the local guild?' Kishio thought to himself, he already held a bit of contempt for the local guild, but there was nothing he could do about them now, but no one could fault him if they came looking for trouble first.
The fact they demanded a sum for the clearance of the dungeon itself was just them being despicable, after the completion of a dungeon, the loots–crystals reeled in from the hunt was a way for the guilds to make substantial amounts.
"Hey! Are you deaf. Surrender your loots or forfeit your life." Salas shouted again, a bit furious as he began walking forward.
"Huh, I'm sorry who are you guys?" Kishio asked, his tone as dull and disregarding as ever.
"So you want to play dumb now. Like you've never seen these faces from the raven local guild that has saved your petty lives multiple times over." Salas spoke again regarding Kishio as one of the common villagers nearby, but this time his tone went down a bit, he didn't like Kishio's tone. He moved slowly, almost reaching for the thin sword sheathed away at his side.
"Oh…" Kishio said feigning surprise, causing Salas to pause a bit "...and what did you say you're after?" Kishio asked, seemingly partially lost.
Salas raised his brows a bit in confusion as the thought of Kishio being mentally derailed crossed his mind, Kishio's entire demeanor almost like he didn't realize the danger he was in.
"Good." Salas commended, thinking Kishio had acknowledged the strength of the local guild and was willing to give up everything.
"If you just surren…" before Salas could finish his ranting again, Kishio had already coated his hand in wither swiping at his throat.
Salas's eyes widened as he immediately grabbed his throat but it was too late, only gurgling noises could be heard as he attempted to make words. He looked at Kishio his eyes fading out as he stretched forth his hands seemingly reaching out for help.
–Thud–
A low thud noise is heard as his body immediately collapsed to the ground.
It all happened so fast none could make a move.
Reiner immediately pulled out his battle axe behind his back, it immediately began to cackle lightly with lightning, obviously his parasite manifestation. He appeared clearly unfazed by Salas's short stand–he had been too careless.
On cue with Reiner's action the other five E rank members pulled out their weapons while activating their parasite powers.
"I don't know who you are…or why you're here. But since you've claimed a life belonging to the raven guild, I cannot let you leave without taking yours." Reiner spoke calmly, before speaking to the rest of his teammates "Don't be frightened. It's five against one."
"Is that so?" Kishio asked calmly, summoning his entire army of silver ghosts to surround the five that 'claimed' to have him surrounded.
The E ranks felt their hearts leap into their mouth and their spines rattle as they took a glance behind them, their body shivering non-stop afraid moving could be the end of their life.
Reiner's reaction wasn't as obvious as theirs, but his widened eyes made it obvious he was shocked, his mind raced now thinking of a way to escape or to talk his way out.
"How may we have offended you?" Reiner suddenly asked, he was obviously a cool headed leader, he suspected Kishio must have a grudge against them, they've done multiple immoral things being one of the local guild's main strike force.
Kishio shook his head, he seemed to have been lost in thought for a while…he had been contemplating their death of course, but he just figured–death seemed to be an easy way out for them, the one he had once taken, he had rather allow them to become one of his strengths than let them die so easily.
"It's not your fault." Kishio said after shaking his head causing Reiner to raise an eyebrow, "You've simply been born in the same world as me, and I deem you to filthy to continue living. Is that a good enough reason?"
Silence enveloped the area, none knew how to reply to the man's words, but he didn't need a reply.
The silver ghosts stationed behind them all immediately began moving, stabbing their sharp claws through both shoulders of a person, and severing their legs, that was their method of immobilizing the five E ranks.
A vast amount of lightning immediately discharged from Reiner's being as he immediately swung his axe, cleaving two silver ghosts that stood behind him in halves.
He immediately made a run for it, he knew he couldn't win the battle today, he had better make a run for it, if he survived he could always come back for his revenge.
Reiner's getaway was the fastest Kishio had seen a person move since stepping into this world, with lightning coating his legs, his speed soared beyond what Kishio could keep up with
Kishio shook his head watching the man flee, of course, a filthy leader, caring only about his own life, but once again he had underestimated his opponent, turning his back against his opponent.
"Bring him alive," Kishio gave a command, as dark smoke rose from beside him.
He had summoned the C rank silver ghost in his arsenal. A small gust of wind blew as the silver ghost sped off chasing after Reiner.
Kishio had the other silver ghosts bring the E ranks they held. "Does the subject have to be alive for it to be used?" Kishio asked.
"Yes." Kishio heard Uragami's ghostly voice reply to him.
Kishio glanced at the man he had cut his throat. He only felt pity he had given him the easy way out.
Placing all five E ranks on the ground, unable to run as their legs had been sliced off and holes punctured through their shoulders.
Kishio stepped forward, immediately a small gust of wind blew, he looked to his side to see his C rank silver ghost there, a partially battered man in its hands, the man's hands had been sliced off, he appeared lifeless but his eyes still had a bit of life in them.
"Take this as the last source of entertainment you will witness before your death," Kishio muttered loudly so Reiner could hear him, but his tone clearly informed Reiner he was next after them.
"Soul eater." Kishio mumbled to himself, dark deathly aura seeped out of his being, his brown eyes turning a bit darker and more lifeless.
The deathly aura moved, slowly seeping out of the ground too, it enveloped the five E ranks, their bodies immediately jerked as they attempted to scream, but it was too late.
Their body already on the verge of death seemed to lose vitality faster than water falling from a waterfall.
In the span of a breath, the eyes had already sunk in, their skin slowly turning into dried sand, as only weak bones were left, and even that too crumbled into dust, their screams of agony dying as quickly as they started.
Reiner suddenly threw up, "Y-you…are crazy" he struggled to voice out.
Kishio sighed slightly "I'll probably hear that a lot." He muttered, the least annoyed at Reiner's words, he walked towards Reiner and placed his hand on his head.
"Soul eater." Kishio mumbled again, this time the process occured faster than before, his frame crumbling into nothingness.
Kishio's head suddenly jerked upwards as he felt a rush of energy flood his body, it wasn't one he could describe, he only knew it was the energy of death increasing in his body, and with it…his emotions fading ever so gradually.
'I probably wouldn't get so tired after one use of wither anymore' he thought to himself, before casting wither on the surrounding, turning any traces of blood or limb there into ashes before desummoning his legion of silver ghosts.
He straightened up his outfit desummoning his kogami as well, the sun was setting, it was about time he headed home.
