It's been dozens of years since I've taken a few humans for refuge on top of my sacred mountain and it turned out to be a great idea.
As of now since humans mate like rabbits there are more than 100 humans who are stationed on top.
To show them my might and make sure they don't lose their faith in me I occasionally save them from "disasters" which I actually ask other gods to make and doing so improves their faith.
It's quite a common tactic amongst us gods and that's how we help each other gain faith. Just by creating "Natural" disasters.
As of right now the humans haven't discovered how to refine the spiritual energy that's floating around in the world so they are a powerless bunch.
"I heard that some ancient ferocious beasts have been causing chaos around the wild human settlements lately.. perhaps I could go and find a beast for myself." Said Michael.
That's right my name is Michael, it's quite fitting since I'm an angel.
He's recently heard about the ancient wild beasts eating humans and causing chaos around the human settlements that are stationed around the world.
He figured it'd be a great idea to go find one of those beasts and take one for himself so he can have some company.

He disappeared from his spot and landed near a human settlement that housed only a few dozen humans.
They lived in caves and weakly built thatched houses considering this is a early era for them and they don't have the knowledge to do much.
He instantly heard the screams and shouts of the humans alongside the battle sounds.
It seemed some humans can fight?
He went over but he shook his head as this wasn't a fight.. no it was a one sided slaughter by a beast and the humans.
The beast was a huge tiger with black wings on its back with a tail that looked like a scorpion that has poisonous spines on it that can easily kill a man.
It's what is known as a manticore. And ancient wild beast and one of the many fearsome ones roaming this world.
It was using its tail to poison many at once and biting the necks of others.
They were helpless against such a beast.
"Spear of light!"
A Majestic spear of light suddenly appeared in front of everyone and made contact with the manticore sending it flying from the settlement into the Woods with its status unknown.
The Humans instantly knew it was the work of the Gods and began to kneel and pray to the one who saved them.
"Oh Holy Light God, please bless us!" They all said looking towards Michael in the air.
"You prayers are heard humans. I will kill the manticore and free you from it!" He flew off amidst the praying of the humans and felt his faith power increase slightly.
He came to the woods where he flung the manticore and found it laying down almost dead.
Obviously the power was held back since I wasn't trying to kill it but I also had to make it look believable.
"Grrrrowl!" The manticore seeing its attacker come close to him knew it was likely during today.
It wanted to live but fate had other plans for it.
"Don't worry, I'm not killing you. However, I want you to be my pet." Michael said to the manticore.
"Grrr!" The manticore didn't like the word pet but it had no choice but to nod its head and accept its offer.
It knew that the gods were more powerful than it so it had no choice but to submit.
Perhaps it wasn't really a bad idea either.
Michael, seeing the manticore submit, was excited! He now has a wild beast with a bloodline that while not as great as a divine beast is still very noble!
"Holy Life Rejuvenation" he waved his hand and instantly healed the manticore's injuries.
Once it got back up and with the manticore in tow disappeared from his spot and landed back onto his secret realm.
Thankfully while he is quite a low ranked god his power is enough to make a pretty big secret realm.
It was the size of 1.9 million square miles which is half the size of the USA in his past life. It's pretty damn big.
A/N: Cultivation worlds are usually extremely large and secret realms are too. Thus the secret realm being half the size of the USA is pretty normal.
The secret realm was quite beautiful as it's untouched by man as of now.
Immortal trees swaying in the wind with delicious fruits ready for the picking with spiritual herbs that in the future many would die for just growing comfortably without worries.
Oceans and lakes with beautiful fish swimming and jumping out every now and then with common animals such as Deer, Rabbits, Birds and others strolling through the forests.
In the center Laid a magnificent palace made with divine materials and gems giving it a holy look.
Next to it was a body of water to fish.
He told the manticore to stay around the area but not go too far and if he wanted to eat fruit or something then go ahead.
"Sigh~ let's refine the faith I've gotten recently." He settled down on a mat inside of his palace and started to refine the faith power he had stored up.
He instantly felt hundreds of strings of faith pouring in to him every minute.
He could even feel and hear their thoughts as they prayed.
"Oh Angelic God please bless my newborn!"
"Angelic God please save us from the ferocious beasts!"
A/N: Angelic God will be his new God name. Or should I use Angel God?
He felt himself getting stronger every time someone prayed to him.
Instantly his power rose from Lower Tier lower god all the way until High tier lower god.
One minor stage away from the peak stage and the. Ascending a realm.
After he was finished refining his faith he went up and visited the tribe full of worshippers on the mountain.
It seems they elected a "Holy Maiden" to represent them which is fine because the girl in question is beautiful.
With her Long Silvery hair and curvy body she's definitely worthy to be my maiden.
I decided to give her my blessing which allows her to use some of my powers and give her insights towards the Dao of Light.
A thing to mention is that our god race is actually talented as hell..
Me alone I was born with 1% Comprehension of the Dao of light which might not seem a lot but regular people would take thousands of years to do that but me? I was born with it.
And those higher gods?
Even higher..
The Venerable gods are born with 5% in their respective Daos and not to mention the God King with his 10% which makes him the strongest and therefore the leader of us gods..
So while I did bless the girl, her comprehension is not even 1%, it'll definitely take her a while until she reaches that mark.. but still she's now stronger than a normal human.
She even managed to look more sacred after I blessed her, gaining a Golden mark that looked like a Lotus on her forehead which added to her charm.
"Thank you for your blessing, Angelic God!" She knowtowed to me as if it were the greatest thing that's ever happened to her.
"Sure, sure. Make sure to keep the offerings up; perhaps I'll even reward you if I find it satisfactory." Michael said to the maiden who suddenly got excited.
"Yes God!"
As for what the reward is? Well, isn't sleeping with the oh so fantastic god an amazing reward for them? Hehe..
It's been so long and I'm pent up so why not? It's their honor after all..
With that, I went back to my secret realm to rest for the years to come.

Hmm the direction of this story will take a good turn sometime. I'll make it a cultivation story sooner or later but for the beginning chapters it'll be about him acting as a god and getting faith.
