Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

Uzumaki Kushina stood at the front of the classroom, clearly nervous, her eyes scanning the room anxiously, as if searching for someone.

Uchiha Yin leaned back in his seat, watching her with great interest. If the original plot still applies, he mused, this should be the scene where Kushina declares her dream of becoming Hokage and gets laughed at. That moment wins her some sympathy and admiration—especially from Minato.

But something felt... off. Even with foreknowledge, experiencing this firsthand was much more entertaining than watching it in the anime.

"My name is Uzumaki Kushina, and my goal is..."

Kushina trailed off, her face conflicted. She looked like she wanted to run, but clenched her fists and forced the rest out in a shout:

"...my goal is to become Uchiha Yin's wife!"

The classroom went completely silent.

From somewhere in the room, Uchiha Yin swore he could hear Namikaze Minato's heart shatter into a thousand pieces.

Kushina, on the other hand, wanted to die on the spot.

She had never been more humiliated. She'd just confessed to a boy she didn't even know—in front of the entire class!

But she hadn't had a choice.

After witnessing the destruction of Uzushio and losing her homeland, Kushina had been brought to Konoha. She now lived under the care of Mito Uzumaki, who gently revealed the bitter truth: Kushina had been chosen to become the next Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails.

The weight of that destiny crushed her. The loneliness, the fear—Kushina had nearly given in to despair.

Until Mito offered her a single piece of advice:

> "Before the beast is sealed inside you, fill your heart with love. That is the only way to endure it."

Just when Kushina resolved to face her future with courage, a voice echoed in her mind:

> [Binding process complete. You are now the host of the Strongest Jinchūriki System.]

According to this mysterious system, if she completed its missions, she could not only avoid becoming a Jinchūriki but also unlock powerful sealing jutsu, eternal youth, and immunity to aging.

It was everything Kushina had ever dreamed of.

> "Main Quest: Become Uchiha Yin's wife."

"Side Quest 1 (Mandatory): During class introductions, publicly declare this goal."

Reward: +1 Proficiency in Uzumaki Clan Sealing Arts.

Failure Penalty: Forced kiss—on Uchiha Yin.

Kushina had frozen in disbelief. "What does this have to do with being a Jinchūriki?!"

> [No comment. Please complete the mission promptly.]

"I'm not doing it!" she snapped mentally. "I don't even know who this Uchiha Yin is!"

> [Are you sure you wish to abandon the mission? Selecting 'Yes' will result in total chakra loss. You may only undo this once.]

"Go ahead. I don't believe you can really take my chakra!"

She immediately regretted it.

All her chakra—gone. No matter how she tried to mold it, refine it, or sense it, nothing happened.

She panicked. Without chakra, she wasn't a shinobi—just a helpless little girl.

It was terrifying.

Cursing herself, Kushina quickly reactivated the system and accepted the mission. That's why she now stood at the front of the classroom, cheeks burning, doing the most embarrassing thing of her life.

And then came the crushing blow.

"Sorry," Uchiha Yin's voice cut through the silence, indifferent as ever. "I'm not interested in you."

The words echoed in her ears like a slap.

She had braved overwhelming shame to say something so bold, and he had rejected her on the spot.

Kushina's cheeks burned hotter than ever. She clenched her fists, stormed across the room, and sat down beside him, fuming.

She stared at Uchiha Yin like she wanted to set him on fire with her eyes.

If looks could kill, he thought, I'd be six feet under.

But what Kushina didn't know was that if the system tracked Uchiha Yin's affection score, she'd have seen it wasn't actually that low.

Uzumaki Kushina might not have had many scenes in the manga, but the few she had were unforgettable. Her fiery personality, unyielding optimism, and refusal to back down were magnetic.

Sure, she was still a kid—seven or eight years old—and Yin had no romantic interest in children. But that didn't mean he disliked her.

In fact, he admired her guts.

So why had he turned her down so coldly?

Because he had to.

The last thing he needed was to draw more attention—especially from the Third Hokage's surveillance team or Danzo's spies. A public relationship, especially with someone as unique as Kushina (and the future Jinchūriki, no less), was a one-way ticket to Root's watchlist.

Still, he couldn't help but smirk slightly when he caught her glaring at him, cheeks still puffed from the embarrassment.

This world really was more fun when you lived it yourself.
