Chapter 1 - The Blood Eclipse

> "If I don't move… someone else will die."

— Aarav Suryan's final thought on Earth

---

The rain wouldn't stop.

Thunder split the night sky as floodwaters rushed like beasts through the streets of the city. People screamed, sirens wailed, and amidst the chaos stood a single figure—a young man, soaked, trembling, but unmoving.

Aarav Suryan, 21 years old. A university student. A nobody.

Until tonight.

The broken bridge groaned beneath the weight of a school bus caught in the rising flood. Children inside cried for help. With no time to wait, Aarav ran.

He leapt onto the crumbling edge, kicked the back door open, and began dragging the children out—one after another. His body screamed, lungs burned, but he didn't stop.

One child left. Pinned.

He lifted the seat, freeing her. But the bridge gave way.

And Aarav fell.

The freezing torrent devoured him. Metal, stone, and darkness wrapped around him like chains. But just before the light vanished from his eyes, he smiled.

> "At least… they lived."

---

But death was not the end.

A storm raged over a dark forest in a world called Neavo. Red lightning flashed as monstrous roars echoed across the valley.

A woman ran through the downpour, cradling a baby wrapped in bloodied cloth. Her robes were torn, her arm wounded, but her grip was firm.

Behind her—monsters twisted by mana and villainous pursuers in black armor followed like shadows.

She held the baby tighter. The child was barely weeks old. A pendant of dark stone glowed faintly around his neck.

"I won't let them have you," she whispered, her voice trembling.

She reached the cliff—the great waterfall of Vaelstrom roared before her. Below was death… but maybe also life.

She kissed the baby's forehead and whispered,

> "Hari… live."

Turning, she faced the monsters and murderers, blade drawn.

She fought like a tempest.

And she died like a hero.

The baby fell from her arms, swallowed by the storm.

---

Hours passed.

The storm faded.

Near the edge of the village hidden beyond the cursed woods, a young couple—the village's warrior chief and his wife, a skilled mage—found a baby glowing faintly in the stream's moonlit waters.

Blood smeared his cloth. His eyes flickered violet. But he was alive.

The warrior stepped forward, holding the baby in silence. The mage whispered, "The night of the Blood Eclipse… found in the shadows, covered in blood..."

> "We'll name him Kael Noctaris."

The villagers called him Kai.

---

But no one knew…

The soul within him had already died once.

Aarav Suryan had been reborn.

His memories of Earth remained. He remembered who he was.

Only one thing haunted him—the night of blood. The woman who fought and died. The one who had called him only by one name:

> "Hari."

Kai grew in the quiet village of Vaelstrom's edge, beneath the cursed cliffs and whispering woods.

The warrior chief trained him with the sword. The mage mother guided his mind. But they always wondered why the boy's eyes looked too old, too distant.

At night, he dreamed.

Dreams of steel monsters and towers of glass. Of a woman screaming his name. Of rain and blood and death.

He never told anyone.

Not until the day came… when he stepped into the forest alone.

And something… came for him.

And he killed.

And the system awoke.
