Chapter 1 - ETERNAL BEGINNING

"You have come again..."

A gentle voice pierced through the world as a pair of eyes snapped open in shock, his gaze scanning around the room.

It was none other than Hikaru, and in front of him was a place that was once familiar.

It was a hall—a throne hall, to be specific—and there were two thrones.

To the right was a Hikaru, or more specifically someone who look like him except for a few part such as his long pitch dark black hair that seems to devoured the surrounding light, his eye are amethyst in color and his body which is covered in shimmering scales which has the same color as his eyes, an indifferent expression on his face, making his thoughts incredibly hard to read.

He sit on a pitch black throne adorned with crystalize luminous amethyst hue, rich in violet undertones, glimmering with iridescent shimmer like light dancing across a polished gemstone.

Opposite of him lay another throne but just like where it's place this one gave the opposite feeling from the other one gave, it lack any color . it does has gemstones decorate it but the gemstones too lack any color as if mourning it's lack of owner.

Yeah a lone throne without it's king.

The scaled covered Hikaru looked at him, who stared back at him without a flicker of emotion as if it was just another normal occurrence.

He had seen this scaled one before, or more like this is nothing more than one of his countless meeting with this person.

He always had this kind of dream, at least once a week, if he's not wrong people called this lucid dream.

He recalled his last meeting with this person—If he remembered correctly, the last words he had been given before getting thrown out were the fact that he was still too weak...

---

"This meeting between us, young one—it is one that has been forced."

"It isn't time for us to meet yet. You're still too weak. Too weak."

---

He thought everything will be the same with him questioning this guy—where is this?—who are you?— etc before being thrown out once again until this introvert bastard who never answer my question before opened his mouth.

"Have you seen the dreams?"

The scaled Hikaru suddenly asked, his voice ringing through the entire halls, causing Hikaru to raise an eyebrow.

"What dream?"

He asked him back, but as always the amethyst-scaled Hikaru just kept looking at him.

And that was when Hikaru's eyes narrowed.

He could remember that dream—that dream of him being chased through the snow-filled world by unknown voices chasing him.

Voices so scary he couldn't turn back his head and could only keep running.

The thought made Hikaru's body go rigid, something the other Hikaru noticed, and they stared at each other, this time with a serious expression on the latter faces.

"I guess you have..."

The blue-scaled Ryuk said, and Ryuk asked,

"The dream. What does it mean?"

"It means... it is near." The amethyst-scaled Hikaru said, sitting upright and staring at Hikaru.

"What is near?" He asked as the amethyst-scaled Hikaru replied.

"It isn't time for you to know yet. You're still too weak. Too weak."

"What? you are still going with that—You're still too weak—bullshit?" replied Hikaru enraged.

"Remember young one , curiosity kill the cat. Now go the wheel of fate has moved once again."

Adviced the scaled Hikaru before getting Hikaru thrown out from this dream—at least what he tought to be a dream.

----

He jolted upright, lungs gasping for air as if he'd been drowning in the dark. His chest heaved, sheets tangled around him, as echoes of the dream still rang in his ears. His face was pale, hands trembling, but he made no sound. Just breathing, just surviving

He stared at the ceiling, frozen, trying to remember where reality ended and the dream began.

"Fuck, as if one weird dream is already nearly making me insane now there's another one"

Yeah there's no one but two dream with the first is the usual meeting with the scaled Hikaru and another being the dream where he's chased in snow covered world.

The difference was that while the meeting with that chuuni—introvert guy was a dream that had accompanied him since child, the other one he had only dreamt once—more specifically yesterday night—.

Getting up from his bed, he go to the bathroom to get ready to go to school.

After bathing and done donning his uniform, he go to the door just as his house's bell rang.

ding-dong

"good morning Hikaru-kun"

"sup Hikaru"

"morning Hikaru"

Greeting him was his friends who lived nearby and always came to pick him up.

The first one being his childhood friend Shirakawa Yukine. She carried the quiet beauty of winter itself. Her long, silvery-white hair flowed like moonlight on freshly fallen snow, soft and straight, with bangs that framed a delicate, pale face. Her eyes were a cool shade of shimmering blue — calm, reflective, like frozen river water under starlight — always observing, rarely betraying her thoughts.

Her skin was porcelain fair, almost luminous in the right light, giving her an ethereal presence. She moved with the grace of falling snow, every gesture subtle, composed, and deliberate. There was something serene and distant about her — not cold, but quiet, like a hush after snowfall. She often wore soft, muted tones — pale blues, silvers, and whites — blending seamlessly into the stillness she seemed to carry within her.

As for her hair color , it's of course is not natural but a dyed one and it's amazing how her hair looks so natural.

The next one come my best friend, Kanzaki Arata. He had the effortless charm of someone used to turning heads — not through arrogance, but quiet confidence. His hair was a soft, chestnut brown, slightly tousled in that naturally perfect way, with longer strands falling just enough to frame his sharp, symmetrical features. His eyes, a deep hazel that caught the light with a warm glow, held a calm, unreadable depth — the kind that made people curious without knowing why.

He dressed with casual elegance — clean lines, neutral tones, and just enough edge to stand out without trying. Even the way he carried himself — relaxed posture, hands often in his pockets, a slight smirk at the corner of his lips — exuded an easy coolness. But beneath the cool exterior, there was a subtle softness in his smile, a quiet kindness in his gaze, that hinted at something more than looks: sincerity.

And the last of the three that came to pick me up is Aoyama Tsubaki who is also Arata's girlfriend.

Aoyama Tsubaki was a storm in motion — fierce, unyielding, and impossible to ignore. With eyes that burned a sharp amber-brown, like sunlight piercing through autumn leaves, she faced the world head-on, never one to flinch or back down. Her chestnut-brown hair was tied in a high ponytail that whipped behind her like a flame in battle, with a few loose strands falling around her strong, determined face. There was a raw energy in the way she moved — fast, precise, always with purpose.

She wasn't loud, but her presence filled the room. Her voice, steady and clear, carried authority beyond her years, and when she laughed — bold and unrestrained — it left people stunned, drawn in by her fearless light. Scrapes on her knuckles and bandages on her arms weren't marks of recklessness but proof of persistence. Her uniform always looked a little rumpled, as if she'd just run from one fight to the next — which she often had.

But beneath the fire, there was steel — disciplined, loyal, and fiercely protective. She didn't fight for glory. She fought for people. And that made her burn brighter than anyone.

"Are you alright , Hikaru-kun? you look exhausted."

Asked Yuki, her voice laced with worry.

"You do know you can rely on us anytime right" Said Arata worriedly.

"I'm f-" before he can answer it he was bombarded with questions after another from those two.

"Did something happened? You're not hurt, right?"

"No need to hold back y'know, that's what friends for. As long as we worked together we will definitely being able to overcome it"

Yuki asked worriedly while the later one being Arata.

"Calm down you two how can Hikaru answer if you two keep bombarding him with question"

reprimanded Tsubaki.

"Thanks Tsubaki I don't know whether or not i can survive being with these two worrywart without you and I'm fine, just having some nightmare last night. No need to worry, Yuki. As for you Arata, what's wrong with that hell of a cringe way of talking"

"erghh, you don't need to remind me of that. I know of it already"

"so you know but still do it. as expect of someone who hasn't finish his chuuni-phase yet."

"of course not, I already finish mine long ago"

"So you did have your own black history huh"

"erghh"

"Sigh, let me guess you lose a bet against Tsubaki and she had you act like a fool hot-blood type protagonist with stupid sense of justice"

"erghh"

"Wow you sure are cruel Tsubaki"

I remind myself to never make an enemy out of her.

"it's okay, Arata no matter what you'll always be my beloved boyfriend"

Said Tsubaki trying to console him.

Ergh here we go again, this damn baka-couple stop doing PDA in front of someone single like me.

After that I continue with my usual routine, listening to the boring lecture then eating together on the rooftop during break then sleeping throughout the history lesson and lastly the class end.

----

After class, I reunite with my friends in front of the school gate as usual and on our way back home I'm suddenly reminded of my dream this morning.

----

----

What is it, why do i suddenly remember his word.

"Hikaru..."

It's weird

"Hikaru..."

Why does his word keep replaying in my mind. I felt like there's something about his word that-

"Hikaru!"

Arata screamed, his voice so close and loud it felt like it punched my eardrum. I flinched, heart jumping, ears ringing.

"Eh, what's wrong? and don't shout at my ears I can hear just fine y'know"

"Then why do you keep ignoring us?"

Asked Arata right back at me.

"eh, did I?"

"Are you really alright Hikaru-kun, you've been spacing out since morning even during break"

Asked Yuki worriedly.

Did I really spacing out that much, i didn't even realize it.

"I'm sorry I just-"

**"O stars that watch the sleeping skies,

A beautiful voice suddenly entered my ears-no my mind

"Did you all hear that?" asked Tsubaki suddenly

"you mean the woman voice?"

"Damn i thought I become crazy, thank goodness I'm not the only one "

replied both Yuki and Arata.

So they also hear it huh, and here i thought the dream has started to affect me in real life.

Break the chains where fate now lies.

That voice again.

The air suddenly felt heavy, thick with something unspoken. Clouds gathered low, gray and restless, as if the sky itself was holding its breath. The wind stirred without direction — uneasy, like it knew something was coming.

Through time, through worlds, let barriers fall,

By oath and flame, we heed the call.

From lands unknown, by the unshaken will,

Let the chosen soul be now awaken'd.

A strange stillness settled over everything, the kind that comes just before chaos. The sky had darkened to a brooding slate, and the wind tasted like electricity — sharp, biting. It wasn't raining yet, but the world felt moments away from breaking.

Sword of light, heart tried and true—

Hero beyond, we summon you!"**

A blinding flash split the sky — and for one breathless moment, everything froze. The world drained of color, washed in a lifeless gray, as if time itself had forgotten how to move.

The lightning struck so close it shook the ground beneath us—and suddenly, all color fled. The trees, the sky, even the warmth of skin faded into dull grayscale, like the world had been drained by fear itself.

Then came the ringing. A sharp, hollow hum that drowned out thought. My knees buckled, the air too heavy to breathe. Vision blurred—light dimmed—until everything crumpled into black.
