Julian standing up, his face twisted in anger as he dragged Lily out of the room. "What is wrong with you?" he shouted, his voice echoing down the hallway. "Can't you just give me some space?"
Lily struggled to free herself from his grip, tears streaming down her face. "You're the one who's always pushing me away," she shot back, her voice trembling with emotion. "You're the one who's always chasing after someone who doesn't even care about you."
Julian's anger seemed to falter for a moment, but then he regained his composure. "Just leave me alone, Lily," he said, his voice cold and detached.
As he turned back to the room, he saw Alexandra standing in the doorway, a look of amusement on her face. "I think it's time for me to leave," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "It seems like you have some issues to work out."
Julian's anger boiled over, and he turned on her. "Yes, leave," he said, his voice firm. "I don't need this right now."
Alexandra shrugged and walked out, leaving Julian and Lily alone in the hallway. The tension between them was palpable, and it seemed like the air was charged with unspoken words.
Lily stormed back to her room, the tears streaming down her face as she slammed the door shut behind her. She collapsed onto the bed, her body shaking with sobs as she let out all the emotions she had been holding in.
As she cried, she couldn't help but think about Julian and the way he had reacted. She felt hurt and confused, unsure of what she had done wrong. The pain of seeing him with Alexandra still lingered, and now she felt like she was losing him too.
Lily buried her face in her pillow, letting the tears soak into the fabric. She felt alone and lost, unsure of what the future held for her and Julian.
As she cried herself out, Lily's sobs slowly subsided, replaced by a numbness that seemed to envelop her entire body. She lay there, her eyes closed, trying to process everything that had happened.
The CEO, Julian, left the mansion, feeling uneasy and uncertain about his emotions. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he was vulnerable around Lily, and it made him uncomfortable. As he drove away, he couldn't help but think about the way Lily had stormed into the room and confronted Alexandra.
He admired her strength and confidence, but at the same time, he felt like he was losing control around her. Julian didn't know how to process these emotions, and it made him feel uneasy.
As he drove, the silence of the car was a welcome respite from the chaos that had erupted earlier. He couldn't help but wonder what the future held for him and Lily. Would he be able to reconcile his feelings and find a way to be with her, or would he continue to push her away?
Julian's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing. He hesitated for a moment before answering, wondering who it could be and what they wanted.
Julian's expression turns thoughtful as he listens to the chef's message. He nods, even though the chef can't see him. "Thank you, Rachel. I'll take care of it."
He hangs up the phone, his mind turning to Lily and her current state. He wonders what's going through her mind and how he can make things right between them.
Julian drove back home, still feeling uneasy about the confrontation with Lily. As he entered the house, he saw Rachel, the chef, in the kitchen. She looked up and noticed the look on his face.
"Is everything okay, Julian?" she asked, concern etched on her features.
Julian sighed and rubbed his temples. "It's Lily. We had a bit of a disagreement."
Rachel's expression turned understanding. "I know. She's not coming out of her room for lunch. She said she's not feeling well."
Julian's eyes narrowed slightly. "Not feeling well?"
Rachel nodded. "Yes. I think it's more emotional than physical, though. You two have been through a lot lately."
Julian's thoughts turned to Lily and their confrontation. He realized that he might have hurt her more than he thought.
Julian stood outside Lily's room, his expression composed. He knocked on the door, and when she didn't respond, he knocked again. "Lily, I need to talk to you," he said, his voice firm but controlled.
The door remained shut, but Julian could sense her presence on the other side. He took a deep breath and continued, "Lily, we need to discuss what happened earlier. You know as well as I do that our contract clearly states that emotional attachment is off-limits. You've broken the rules, and we need to address the consequences."
Julian's voice was calm and detached, but beneath the surface, he was struggling to maintain his composure. He was torn between his desire to protect himself and his growing feelings for Lily.
Lily slowly opened the door, her eyes still red from crying. Julian's expression was firm as he gazed at her. "If you can't control your emotions and respect the terms of our agreement, then perhaps it's best if we end this arrangement altogether," he said, his voice cold and detached.
Lily's eyes widened slightly as she absorbed the threat. She took a deep breath, her shoulders squaring as she composed herself. "I'm here," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Julian nodded curtly. "Good. Let's talk about this downstairs. In my study."
He turned and walked away, expecting Lily to follow. As they walked downstairs, the tension between them was palpable. Lily's heart was heavy with emotion, and Julian's expression was unreadable.
As soon as Lily stepped into the study, Julian closed the door behind her and turned to face her. His eyes locked onto hers, and before she could react, he pulled her into a passionate kiss.
Lily's initial shock gave way to a mix of emotions as she felt the intensity of Julian's lips on hers. She didn't know how to respond, torn between her feelings for him and the pain of his earlier words.
The kiss was fierce and demanding, leaving Lily breathless. As they broke apart for air, Lily's eyes searched Julian's face, trying to understand what was happening.
