The storm had passed, but the sky remained dark.
Sahiru rushed to her side—Suzune, bloodied and still, lay amidst the ruins of war. Her green-and-gold robe was torn, her parasol broken beside her. Yet her lips held a small, trembling smile.
"Suzune…!" he gasped, falling to his knees, lifting her gently into his arms. "No—no, please—hold on!"
Her breathing was faint, her heartbeat weaker still. Her eyes fluttered open, shimmering with the last lights of life.
"Sahiru…" she whispered softly. "You… did it. You saved them."
"Don't speak. You'll be fine. I'll get help, I—"
"You were always the strongest… but also the kindest," she said, smiling through the pain. "Promise me… you'll keep fighting. Keep saving people. Keep being… you."
Tears welled in Sahiru's violet eyes, the glow of rage now gone—only grief remained.
"Please, don't go," he said, voice cracking. "You're my partner… Suzune—don't leave me alone again…"
She raised a weak hand, brushing his cheek.
"I'll always be by your side… watching over you… My swordsman…"
And with that, she kissed him—a soft, lingering farewell—and her hand slipped from his face.
Suzune Azuri… was gone.
Sahiru sat in silence. His expression didn't change. Not a scream, not a tear. Just a silence colder than death.
By the time Kenta and the surviving corps members arrived, the battlefield was already silent. Demons dead. The earth still. Eclipse Moons—gone.
And Sahiru knelt there, holding the girl who once made him smile.
Elsewhere – Infinity Castle
Nakime knelt silently before the throne.
"Lord Muzan… the Eclipse Moons… they have been annihilated. All six… by one swordsman. Sahiru."
The room froze.
Muzan's crimson eyes widened.
"All six?" he echoed.
"Yes."
From the side, Dōma let out a twisted laugh.
"Maybe next time send an Uppermoon, my Lord," he said, grinning. "They might've stood a chance."
Muzan did not respond.
He simply stared into the darkness.
"Those six… were as strong—or stronger—than the Upper Ranks…"
And still…
His fingers trembled.
For the first time in centuries, Muzan Kibutsuji felt fear.
