He hadn't spoken in days. He trained in silence, ate little, and slept even less. His eyes, once vivid violet, had dulled. The wind blew through the corps base, but his red Haori barely moved—he was like a ghost lingering among the living.
Memories haunted him.
Suzune laughing.
Suzune sparring with him.
Suzune smiling through the rain.
"I'll always be by your side… watching over you…"
The ache in his heart didn't fade—it grew. And in that silence, regret gnawed away at his soul.
Kenta approached quietly, bowing his head with guilt in his eyes.
"Sahiru…"
There was no response.
"I didn't want to ask this. I swore I wouldn't give you anything for a while… But…"
Sahiru turned his gaze, slow and tired.
"There have been multiple sightings in Kaminari's village. Entire families—gone. If this keeps up, there won't be anything left…"
He clenched his fists.
"I hate myself for asking this. But you're the only one strong enough to stop this. If you don't want to go, I'll understand—"
Sahiru slowly stood up.
The wind stirred his cape as he looked up to the sky.
"How many more families will cry like I did?"
"How many more Suzunes… will fall?"
His violet eyes darkened, shimmering with fury and loss.
"I'll go."
Kenta took a breath of relief—only to freeze at Sahiru's next words:
"I'll wipe them all out. Every single demon in that village… will be erased from this world."
The flames of vengeance burned anew.
And Facade Breathing would dance once more.
