Nico Finnikin Faelwyn, a fiery, fun-loving foxkin with a talent for destruction, and Garrick Ironhart, a 16 year olf, pipe-wielding engineer with a heart of steel (and decorator of titanium), have been living their best lives exiled in the wilderness. Lounging on a couch made from monster bones, surrounded by slushies, sizzling grilled meat, and exotic vegetable stews, their days consist of naps, forest feasts, and zero responsibilities. No laws. No paperwork. No clocks.
That is, until it arrived.
A letter.

With slushies spilled and mouths agape, the two face their greatest existential crisis yet: civilized labor. Tax forms, alarm clocks, and customer service training loom like monsters far worse than any wild beast. But will they accept the offer, infiltrate society to sabotage it from within, or fake their deaths and return to the wilds?
