Chapter 1 - Damian And Arthur

On the planet Nihar, in the city of Black Pit, at the only school in the city, there was a massive gathering of 15-year-old students in the schoolyard. In the middle of the crowd stood a boy who drew attention with his unique white hair and white eyes, which anyone might mistake for blindness, though he was not blind. At his side, a katana in its sheath was tied to his waist, his hand resting on it. The boy's name was Damian. As for his family name, he didn't know it; he had been placed in front of an orphanage with a paper only bearing the name Damian. It was clear that whoever left him didn't want his family name mentioned for whatever reason.

"Hey, I gotta tell you, I'm so nervous, I feel like my guts are gonna spill out, hahaha!" Damian turned to the source of the voice. It was a boy with black hair and golden eyes, holding a black spear in his right hand. It was Arthur, his childhood friend and best friend. He had also grown up in the orphanage with Damian, having been placed in front of it with a paper bearing only his name, no family name mentioned. Both were placed in front of the orphanage as infants, but Damian had arrived a few days before Arthur. However, there was no doubt they were the same age.

"Hmmph, what? Has the second-ranked suddenly become a chicken?" That's right, despite being orphans with no background, they were unparalleled among the students at the school. Damian always took first place, whether in martial arts, weapons, or other classes, followed by Arthur in second.

"Hmmph, keep mocking me. Just don't come crying to me when you see me awaken a better class than yours."

"We'll see. Only a few minutes left before we enter the Goblin Dungeon," Damian said, looking at the time on his phone.

Damian and Arthur exchanged conversations as if they hadn't seen each other in a thousand years, ignoring that they were minutes away from entering the dungeon. Usually, Arthur's personality was cheerful, humorous, and always loved to tease, while Damian was quiet and often cold. However, when talking to Arthur, he could speak and converse freely. Of course, this wasn't because he was an introvert or anything like that, but simply his nature.

"Attention!" A voice louder than the students' chatter spread. The students instinctively looked towards the source of the sound. It was none other than Director Julius, standing in front of the Goblin Dungeon gate.

"My dear students, your moment has arrived. After many martial arts lessons and intensive training, your bodies have finally reached the appropriate level for awakening. As soon as you enter this dungeon, your true journey will begin. And always remember, there are no bad classes. And don't be complacent just because you're fighting these small goblins. Statistics show that the highest percentage of deaths are those who underestimate them and are not careful. Is that understood?" Director Julius spoke, and at the end of his speech, his gaze remained on Damian and Arthur.

"Yes, sir!" the students said in one voice.

"I can't believe it, man, this is the last time I'll see that bald head finally! I'll never see him again, can you believe it?" Arthur whispered in Damian's ear, but to Arthur's misfortune, Director Julius heard him clearly thanks to his power. It was natural that his hearing could pick up Arthur's whisper as if he were speaking directly into his ear. A cold shiver ran down Arthur's spine when he looked towards Director Julius and saw him looking directly at him.

"Ahem," Arthur acted as if nothing was wrong and looked away.

"Alright, I won't hold you back any longer. Good luck!" Then Director Julius stepped away from the gate, signaling for the students to enter. One by one, the students began to enter the gate, then it was Damian and Arthur's turn.

"WHOOSH!"

After entering the dungeon, Damian and Arthur found themselves in a large green forest with the other students. "If we stay here, we won't encounter any goblins because of the crowd, so let's separate from them," Damian told Arthur. Arthur agreed, and the two started walking in a random direction. After ten minutes, the duo found two goblins wandering alone.

The duo rushed towards the two goblins. Damian drew his katana and slashed at the first goblin. The goblin tried to block with its dagger, but its hand was cut off by Damian's katana. Then Damian slashed again towards the goblin's neck, severing it and ending the goblin's life. As for Arthur, he aimed his spear at the goblin's stomach, piercing it, but the goblin wasn't dead yet. Arthur pulled out the spear, then aimed it at the goblin's face, ending its life.

For the two of them, the battle was easy, but for the rest, it couldn't be said for sure. Both pulled out a dagger and cut into the chests of the two goblins, extracting a mana core from each. The two looked at each other, then Arthur said, "You go first, I'll protect you." Damian nodded, then sat on the ground with the mana core in his hand. Damian took a breath, then crushed the core, causing the mana inside to flow towards Damian, entering his own mana core and filling it with mana. Then the mana flowed through Damian's meridians one by one, causing a foul, black substance to seep out of his pores. Then a sudden surge of power rushed through Damian's body. For the first time, he felt the restrictions that were on him being removed, and then a wave of information rushed into his head.
