Noah felt as if he was drowning, his body stiff as he felt it getting heavier and heavier. Maybe it was the strong feeling of anger, or maybe it was the special privilege that one of the SS-level hunters would get after his death. He felt his consciousness returning to his body.

His eyes were bloodshot as they flew open. He expected that all of this was to be a terrifying nightmare, but it didn't seem like it was a nightmare, or even if it was a nightmare, it hadn't ended yet.
In front of him, there are rows and rows of system windows, not the one that he was aware of that helped them manage their skills and inventory.
Instead these windows were more like broadcasting television where the same type of stories are going on- dungeon, monsters, Awakened individual and all that.
There were minor changes here and there but the whole plot was pretty standard.
In those rows of broadcasting tele screen his eyes caught one that seemed to fluctuate over and over again, as if calling him.
He walked towards it and looked down with interest, he didn't have to look twice to realise this was his world, the world that was celebrating.
Celebrating not the stopping of a monster or the clearance of a higher-level dungeon. Instead the subject of this celebration was the death of a hunter, his death an SS-level hunter who had cleared dungeon after dungeon alone to protect the very same people.

He clicked on the running screen, and the details popped up on the screen.

Noah clicked, his mind buzzing. Not just with confusion but with pure anger. Is his life a joke?
He was barely into high school when he was thrown into fighting with monsters, clearing dungeons. He lost his brother, his only family so that some F level scavanger can have his weak to strong bullshit story? So that he can get found family?
He laughed, sounding like a maniac.
He wasn't off a sane mind, he was aware of that. How can he be of sane mind after going through everything like that?
He looked back on the screen going through the pathetic excuse of the story. One that conveniently portrayed his 16 year old self as ruthless killer.
Huh !! He wasn't aware he should kiss those monsters instead of killing them in dungeon. What ruthless? If he come across any SS level monster who was out for his blood, and he kills them he is ruthless, and when that F grade trash picks up same monster cub who wasn't even graded yet, he is noble?
Is that even a thing that is worthy of comparison? If he would get a dragon egg he would also want pet dragon but he don't get that ? He gets a full grown dragon ? All because he wasn't MC.
Mc would get all top level friends and his friends would betray him for no reason all because he is a villain and the other one is protagonist.
He was killed, backstabbed because at the age of 21 because he dare question protagonist wanting to equally distribute dungeon raid, the dungeon that he cleared alone. While the protagonist flirts around with women.
It's not that he can't see his fault he can see them too, quite clearly at that.
He shouldn't have left the house, leaving his brother behind. He thought he was protecting him, but his action sent his brother into depression and he killed himself within few years.
He shouldn't have refused to establish his own guild, shouldn't have stayed so away from politics hoping to live a peaceful life. It's funny how naive he was, what peaceful life when sky is raining monsters down.
The more he go through the story, although he was mentioned here and there as some villain he was still able to see through the protagonist journey that if he had his guild, have kept those talents who came to him first the protagonist wouldn't have it so easy.
He can't accept it, he can not accept dying like this.
He raised his hand banging onto the screen, muscle tightnig and every ounce of anger he felt he used it with an intention to break the tables, break this story that treated him and his brother like a pawn.

The first thing in front of him was clear whilte ceiling, this place looks like home.
"Noah.. get up !! Come on, your school bus will be here any moment."
He felt his body freeze completely. This voice, he got up rushed outside throwing himself in the warm embrace he was missed so much.
"Brother !!"
His brother was taller than him, especially now that he was fifteen and his brother is well over twenty. Last time he saw his brother was as a dead body, at that time he felt so small and vulnerable that it broke his heart.
"Why are you acting like this all of the sudden? Has my baby brother finally lost his mind." He ruffled his hair,and a smile on his face clearly contradicting the irritating word he was saying, "Okay come up I've reheated yesterday's pizza pockets for breakfast have them after you get ready, brother have to leave for my part time."
Seperating so early, when meeting after decades doesn't seem right, but right now even he is not sure what's going on and he needs some time to gather his thoughts.
"I won't be going to school today, I am not well." He knows his brother won't question because he never used to make excuses to leave schools usually.
His brother stopped, bending down to take his temperature, "what happened"
"Just headache .... you go, or you'll be late it's already eight."
"Just take care, if you feel really uncomfortable just call me okay."
"Yess !! Yess .... now go "
He saw his brother leave, and the smile on his face dropped.
He rushed to pick up the calender its 2045 still an year before the dungeon gates starting openening.
He rushed outside and slide open the curtain, he could see dungeon gates still in blue color, these will surely take over an year to mature. Right now no one is aware about what these gates actually are, and government is still conducting experiment to find out about them.
He looked down, eyes focused, maybe it will be useless but worth the try.
