Midnight teased.
He howled at the acceptance of the bond. I could feel her subtle emotions and her wolf responding to me—even tho I hadn't mark her yet. Midnight couldnt contain his happiness. I had work left to do, but Midnight wanted us to spend more time with her. I wanted that too. But we had work pending.
I entered my office, dialing James number. He picked up on the second ring. " Good day sir," he greeted. "Good day James, what the update on the mine blast."
There was a pause, then a chuckle, " sir, permit me on what I may—but you sound quite happy this morning." I scowled "Don't waste my time."
"Yes sir. Right to it. The site has been rid of every explosive. The injured are being cared for, and the rest given time off. So far, there still no lead on who could be behind."
