Chapter 11 - Monster Battle

"This... this is..."

Seeing Mo suddenly appear before them, the two soldiers were stunned. But soon, a wave of joy from surviving washed over them. Their legs gave out, and they collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

It was only now that they realized their backs were drenched in cold sweat.

"What is that thing?!"

Farther away, General Ross, who had witnessed everything, was also shocked.

He had clearly seen it with his own eyes: although this person looked normal on the outside, he had just appeared out of thin air—there was no way that was normal! Where did this guy come from? Was today some kind of monster carnival day?

Compared to others, however, Abomination grew even more excited.

Even after being struck on the head by a car, he only staggered slightly backward before quickly regaining his posture, grinning with an eager and ferocious smile.

"A little bug... very good."

Abomination said excitedly, "Before I defeat Hulk, I'll warm up with you first."

As soon as he finished speaking, a terrifying killing intent locked onto Mo.

Of course, Mo wasn't scared. On the contrary, he felt a bit excited, because just now, a long-lost electronic notification had sounded in his mind:

**[System Notice: New module traits detected. Research will grant download permissions.]**

Hearing that heavenly sound, Mo became excited as well. In front of him, Abomination exuded a terrifying aura, and it reminded Mo of the days he fought bosses on servers, stirring up his blood.

Steve emerged like a ghost behind Mo. Mo smiled at Abomination and said, "Trash, come here and die."

"ROAR!!!"

Hearing Mo's words, Abomination flew into a rage and charged at him.

Although Mo was excited, he wasn't stupid enough to directly fistfight Abomination. After all, it was like gaming: before a player's gear was fully built, defeating bosses required more skill than brute force.

Mo flicked his finger, and the ground in front of Abomination suddenly lifted up. Caught off guard, Abomination smashed straight into it. But unfortunately, the asphalt wasn't as hard as his body — it shattered in the next second, and Abomination charged through with a grin.

However, when he looked up, Mo had already disappeared.

"...?"

Abomination froze. He suddenly felt a slight sting on his back, as if something had scratched him. He immediately swung a punch backward—only to find nothing there.

Seeing this, Abomination looked confused.

He instinctively touched his back and found his fingers coated in sticky yellow-green blood.

"You despicable bug!"

Realizing he was wounded, Abomination was instantly furious and began indiscriminately smashing everything around him: cars, pavement, even buildings. Soon the entire street was burning and flooding at once — total chaos.

Meanwhile, Mo stood atop a nearby building, observing Abomination's every move.

He had to admit, his Stand (Steve) was still a bit weak.

While Steve's iron sword could easily slice through terrorists like watermelons, it was clearly insufficient against tough monsters like Abomination.

Mo had planned well: using the Ender Hand to distract Abomination, then letting Steve sneak up and backstab him.

The plan was sound, but Mo had underestimated Abomination's defense.

Steve's full-powered leaping slash had only left a few inches deep cut on Abomination's back.

For a monster over three meters tall, that wound was about as significant as a toothpick prick—more annoying than damaging, only making Abomination angrier.

Even so, Mo wasn't discouraged.

He remembered that in the Twilight Forest mod, Hydra had even more HP than Abomination. And he had still stabbed it to death with a sword back then.

"Today, I'm gonna show you what 'death by a thousand cuts' really means."

Thinking this, Mo grinned.

He reached out and grabbed the air — a water tower nearby was yanked into the sky by a massive force and hurled at Abomination.

"Hmm?"

Abomination, even while berserk, sensed something and looked up—just in time to see the water tower flying toward him. He leapt aside with a powerful kick.

The water tower slammed into the ground, splashing a tidal wave of water.

At that moment, Steve, who had been waiting patiently, struck like a ghost, stabbing at Abomination's left eye.

"AAARRGH!!!"

Abomination howled in pain, thrashing wildly.

Steve's movement speed, without extra mods, wasn't very fast. He couldn't dodge the frantic attacks, but Mo had superb combat instincts. He immediately made Steve raise his shield for defense.

With a deafening boom, a shockwave exploded in the air.

"Huh?"

Abomination felt like he had punched a steel wall—his fist stung badly. He looked up, only to see nothing. It was like everything had been an illusion.

But Abomination had once been a soldier. Thinking it over, he quickly realized—the enemy was invisible.

"Bug! I know your secret now!"

Abomination roared excitedly. He grabbed a giant concrete pillar and spun it like a windmill, trying to force the invisible enemy to reveal himself.

Of course, Mo wasn't going to play along.

In fact, he was mourning his shield's durability.

Abomination's punches were *seriously* damaging — one hit had already shaved off a big chunk of shield durability. Thankfully, in Minecraft rules, shields absorb damage by sacrificing durability; otherwise, his Stand would've been half-dead from that punch.

"Looks like I'll need a new strategy..."

Mo slowly raised his hand, a ghostly purple light glowing in his palm.

Nearby, a car suddenly levitated and was hurled toward Abomination.

Abomination swung the concrete pillar and smashed the car to pieces with a loud boom. But immediately, another car flew at him, and he smashed that one too.

By the third car, when Abomination raised the pillar to smash again, the ground under him suddenly collapsed.

His foot sank into a hidden pit, and Steve, waiting underground, slashed wildly at his Achilles tendon.

Mo jokingly called this maneuver "foot surgery."

"ROAR!!!"

Feeling searing pain from his foot, Abomination tried to pull his leg free — but at that moment, another car fell on his head.

Mo squeezed his hand, compressing the car into a metal casing that trapped Abomination's head.

By the time Abomination tore the metal off and freed his leg, his Achilles tendon was a bloody mess.

Before he could react, a green figure leapt at him from the side, tackling him to the ground and raining down a barrage of hammer-like punches. The asphalt cracked under each blow, and the entire street seemed to shake.

"Another one?!"

The fleeing civilians were completely stunned. This was the third monster they had seen today. Everything was pure chaos—what the hell was happening to New York?!

"Huh? Hulk?"

Mo immediately realized—the green figure was Hulk.

Yes, originally, this battle was supposed to be Hulk vs. Abomination. Mo had just inserted himself into it. Now Hulk had officially made his appearance.

Unfortunately, Hulk's entrance looked impressive but was actually weak.

Bruce Banner had just injected a suppressant for gamma energy, weakening Hulk significantly. As a result, his attack didn't do real damage, and Abomination kicked him away with one brutal strike.

"Get out of my way, Hulk!"

Abomination roared, "You're not my target right now! I want to kill that damn bug first!"

But before he could finish shouting, a barrage of gunfire rained down.

Staggering from the hit, Abomination looked up furiously — it was a helicopter attacking him.

This was General Ross's personal helicopter. Inside, Betty (Bruce Banner's girlfriend) watched Hulk anxiously.

Beside her, a soldier manned a Gatling gun, firing madly at Abomination to suppress him.

"Ross…"

Hatred flashed in Abomination's eyes. He grabbed a piece of iron plating and hurled it at the helicopter.

"Dodge!"

General Ross shouted urgently.

But the human pilot couldn't react fast enough — the metal struck the tail rotor.

With a burst of flame, the helicopter spun out of control and plunged toward the ground.

Meanwhile, Hulk, still groggy from being kicked away, looked up just in time to witness the crash.

Seeing Betty's terrified face, Hulk's rage exploded.
