Chapter 64
"Lightning, Love, and Lunacy"
---
Explosions thundered across the shattered Demon Valley. Magic lit up the sky. Demons screeched and charged in waves—but they weren't ready for what came next.
Ruke sprinted forward with crackling speed, slicing through enemies with his lightning-charged blade.
Eliz floated above, casting spirals of dark energy that tore through flying demons like paper.
Nolan shouted while running in loops, somehow chased by a demon missing a jaw.
> "WHO FIGHTS WITHOUT A JAW?! THIS IS NIGHTMARE FUEL!!"
And behind them all—
Lilia.
Calm. Composed. Holding her spellbook in one hand and a glowing sphere in the other.
"Target: Center," she whispered.
A radiant blast of Holy Burst erupted, vaporizing three demons at once.
"Nice one!" Ruke shouted.
Eliz flew by her. "Lilia, back me up left!"
Lilia nodded, already summoning a barrier to shield Eliz mid-air. She multitasked like a machine—support, offense, strategy. The real brain of the group.
Meanwhile, Nolan tripped again—this time over his own summoned golden squirrel.
"OH COME ON! That squirrel's working for the demons!"
He crashed into a demon's stomach and somehow electrocuted it through sheer chaos energy.
Ruke facepalmed mid-fight.
Eliz shouted, "Lilia, can you seal Nolan's luck magic before it kills us?!"
"No," Lilia said flatly, blasting two demons in the head with precise Light Shots. "It's part of his charm. Unfortunately."
The battlefield trembled as a Demon Goliath stomped into view—a massive Arcane beast fused with iron plates and breathing purple smoke.
"Great," Ruke muttered. "Big one."
"Perfect!" Nolan grinned, somehow eating a glowing golden donut mid-battle. "Let's test my new move!"
"No!" Eliz and Lilia shouted together.
He already launched.
But the demon smacked him into a rock like a baseball.
"Owww…" Nolan groaned. "Still testing…"
Ruke dashed under the beast's legs, slashing tendons.
Eliz distracted it with an explosion of black fire.
Lilia floated up, chanting calmly. Her staff glowed white-gold.
> "Light Compression—Holy Judgement."
A beam like a divine sword sliced through the beast's chest. It roared—staggered.
Nolan, lying sideways, casually raised a finger.
"Golden Popcorn Bomb."
He flicked it.
A tiny glowing kernel hit the demon's face and exploded like a cannon.
> BOOOOM.
The Goliath dropped.
Team: 4. Demon Army: 0.
The battlefield went quiet for a moment.
Ruke wiped
