Chapter Twenty-Six
"This is what I was afraid of."
Mad George stood still, that terrifying smile vanishing from his lips, replaced by a cold expression.
All the fangs that were scattered across his body disappeared before his hand morphed into a sharp fang.
Long side arms emerged from his flanks, and all the wounds inflicted by Sylvia healed completely.
Suddenly... Mad George vanished from our sight and reappeared behind Sylvia.
"A strike....."
Sylvia's eyes widened before she was hit hard by George.
She couldn't even understand how he disappeared from in front of her eyes.
Sylvia was sent flying ten meters before crashing into a tree.
Even the tree cracked from the sheer force of the blow.
"A fall....."
The tree that Sylvia had collided with collapsed with a sharp sound.
"Sylvia was the one in control—how did things end up like this?"
Liam said in terror.
Liam, who had been jumping for joy earlier, was now sitting on the ground in fear. Even I, though terrified, tried to remain calm.
"Haahaha!"
Sylvia laughed before leaning on her sword to stand up.
She rose, spitting out a large amount of blood while smiling.
"I didn't know there was someone who could make me use my full power."
Sylvia grabbed the golden sword, and blue, scorching flames erupted from it.
Even the grass beneath Mary caught fire due to the heat—yet Mad George continued staring coldly.
He didn't show any sign of fear.
"System, can you display George's stats?"
[Confirmed]
[Mad George]
Type: Mutated Beast (C-Rank) - Enraged
Strength: 60+8
Intelligence: 20-25
Speed: 80+12
Mana: 60+5
Favorite food: Humans
As if he had given up his intelligence for the sake of power.
The one thing I feared about this monster was the freedom to distribute stats.
Imagine being able to give up some stats to increase others.
And if he's already begun allocating his stats, that means he's taking this seriously.
Which means he's no longer just a regular monster—he's become a disaster in his own right.
Sylvia advanced toward George, leaving behind a trail of fire.
Strike...
Strike...
Strike...
Strike...
Sparks flew with every clash between the two.
She clashed fiercely with George, but since the academy's weapons were relatively weak, the sword began to crack.
But Sylvia didn't care and continued fighting.
Instead, she increased her speed.
Previously, I could see Sylvia's silhouette when she moved, but now I couldn't see anything at all.
A wide arena of fire with only the sound of impact—there were no shadows.
Only strikes. Nothing else.
The battle continued for a few short seconds before we heard a loud breaking sound from nearby.
Looking over, we found Sylvia holding a weapon broken in half.
She crushed the sword into small pieces before tossing it away.
When Mary saw the broken sword, she held her temple in annoyance.
"Hey, Sylvia, borrow mine."
Mary threw her sword with force toward Sylvia, who caught it quickly.
Sylvia examined the sword for a few seconds before a wide smile spread across her face.
"But Mary, what will you fight with?"
I couldn't help but ask.
"Honestly, I planned to pass the test using the sword, but it seems today isn't my lucky day."
"Show yourself..."
Mary muttered before a black staff adorned with magical engravings appeared.
She was then covered entirely in tight black leather clothing.
Finally, Mary had decided to take the matter seriously.
The monster stepped back slightly before glancing at me and Liam.
Perhaps because the beast sensed a bit of danger, it decided to finish off Liam and me first.
Even though we were worthless targets, due to his low intelligence stat, he couldn't even think properly.
Mad George turned his back on Sylvia and Mary and charged at us wildly.
Because of his massive size, Mary and Sylvia couldn't see anything.
"Liam, get up quickly—we have to run!"
Liam tried to get up but couldn't because he was trembling with fear.
When I realized he was useless, I decided to act.
"Liam, you said you'd take responsibility.
So I want you to stand firm."
Liam didn't understand a word of what I said, but he did when I grabbed him by the collar.
"What do you mean? And why are you carrying me?"
"Goodbye, Liam."
I threw Liam towards George.

...Author's Note:
Do you have any idea how exhausted I feel right now? I made the character descriptions a bit strange, and I spent the entire night searching for images that matched. But there was a big problem—there weren't any matching images. So I had to take pre-made images, edit them, and finally managed to create a character.
The image is of Marie Antoinette. And of course, if you don't like the image or the style, you can tell me, and I'll search for a better one. You'll find the image in the first comment.
I know you are lazy but at least give me your opinion on the picture
